George's P.O.V.

When we stepped of the jet and into the Ireland atmosphere it felt different. The air felt... fresher. The fans were screaming as they waved at us. I spotted one woman literally crying her eyes out as she looked at John with lust-filled eyes. I grabbed Katie's hand as we slowly descended to the blacktop.

"Is it like this everywhere?" She asked.

"You should see American fans. Twenty times worse." I chuckled.

"Really?" She questioned.

I simply nodded my head as I waved with my free hand. Katie didn't seem to know what to do so I broke our interlocked fingers and put my arm around her shoulder.

"Just smile." I whispered into her ear then pecked her cheek.

After I instructed her she put on her heart-stopping smile and put her arm around my waist.

We fought our way through the crowd of people to the town car that waited for us about twenty minutes after exiting the aircraft.

"Is it always that bad?" Callie asked Ringo.

"It gets way worse. Especially in America." John informed.

Callie's eyes widened a little with surprise. "You have to be joking!"

"Nope, he's right. With our popularity and 'Beatlemania' we might as well be gods. We already have our followers." John said sarcastically.

We were silent for a couple minutes then Katie spoke up, "Paul.. Are you alright?" She looked a little worried.

I glanced over at Paul and he was staring out of the window into the night sky. He looked as though he were in deep thought, concentrating on something. I wonder what is going through that brilliant mind. I stood up to go check on him.

"Where you going Georgie?" Katie asked.

"I'm going to go see how Paul's doing." I replied.

As I walked up to him he turned his head. "Ah, 'ello George." He greeted me.

"Hi Paul. You alright?" I went straight to the point, skipping the small talk.

"Oh, yes. Just a little sleepy and tired of being on this dammed plane." He signed.

"You miss her already, liar." I teased.

His cheeks turned a little red and he looked at his hands. "Yes. Terribly actually. I have never felt this way." His gaze returned to the window.

"I'm sorry lad." I put my hand on his shoulder. His eyes looked empty. I've never seen him so down. He's always so cheerful.

"Come sit with us up in the front?" My statement came out as a question.

"I'm okay, thanks though." He returned to the blackness of the night. I stood up and walked to Ringo and the girls.

I sat down but kept my eyes on Paul. He didn't look around. Just out the window. His head laying against the wall as if it were hard to support it.

"George? Are you listening?" Katie said.

"Oh, sorry. Could you say it again?" I asked.

"Is Paul alright?" I saw concern on her face.

"I think he misses Makayla." I glanced at her.

"Oh. Tell him to get up here."

"I did." I looked back a Paul, who had shifted to where his head rested on his hand.

"Oh," Katie glanced in his direction.

"Where the hell is John?" Ringo changed the subject.

"Probably foolin with a flight attendant." I answered.

"I'll have you know, I'm being a good boy and writing a song!" John was leanin over the back of my seat.

"This is a first." We all chuckled.

"Ah, shut up," he grunted.

A jolt woke me and I realized we were landing. Katie pulled her head off my shoulder and glanced around. As my eyes adjusted I looked at Paul. He didn't seem half awake. His eyes were opened with out a slight glimpse of being tired. Still looking out the window, concentrating on the moving ground below us.

I could already hear the screaming of the "Beatlemanics". What will happen when we exit the plane? Will they be crushed that I am no longer an eligible bachelor?

"Paul, get your ass up here." John said.

He grunted and pushed himself up out of the seat. John looked him in the eye and grabbed him by the neck, pulling him close then whispering something in his ear. He was too quiet so I couldn't hear what he had said. Paul suddenly chuckled then took John by the arm.

The crew opened plane doors. John and Paul stepped out into the noisy atmosphere of Ireland. Ringo and Callie followed behind. Some of the fans quieted down in disappointment due to his new relationship.

I looked at Katie, "You ready?" I asked.

"No," she laughed a little. I extended my arm to her and we made our way to the exit.

Katie and I stepped onto the stairs. I could hear the crying of the young disappointed girls.

"GEORGE!" One screamed and I turned my head in that direction. I could see the girl. She was about my age, maybe a year younger. I waved making eye contact with her. She was pretty but Katie was prettier.

The girl started crying at my acknowledgement of her. I chuckled at how a simple gesture of mine could drive them wild.

We made our way down the steps and onto the Ireland ground. The guards led us to the town car we were taking to the hotel.

"You guys go through that how many times a year?" Callie asked.

"It would be easier to ask how many times a year we're away from fans. The answer to that is about a week each year." John laughed after replying.

"Wow.. That was wild." Katie laughed.

We made it to our hotel an hour later. We all unpacked our bags and decided to turn in for the night. The day was long and tiring. I'm not sure any of us could've taken another hour on that damn plane.
