It was Sunday and Makayla was suppose to be back in town in four hours. I decided I would go back to that little music store for a while and maybe get a new bass. I walked out of the hotel after telling the others where I was going. it was maybe a twenty minute walk to get to the little store not counting having to stop and sign records and talk to fans. I never realized how popular I am.

I got into the store and the same clerk was working. "Mr. McCartney, it's nice to see you again." He smiled at me.

"You too." I lied.

I walked around the store and found the guitars. George's was fine but it was time John got a new one. I found a nice looking black guitar. He didn't need a strap for it, his was fine but I bought one anyway. I bought George a new strap as well as some guitar picks. I grabbed a case for John's guitar and one for when I found a bass. I picked up two pairs if drumsticks for Ringo. I made my way to the bass guitars and found a grayish-black color and bought it as well. I didn't buy a strap for mine. I could use the one I have currently.

I was gone for about an hour and I walked back to the hotel. I took back alleys and other ways to avoid getting stopped which worked pretty well. I opened the hotel door.

"Merry Christmas lads!" I yelled.

"Paul it's April." John said.

"Shut up and take this." I handed him the guitar.

"Thank you!" He said.

I handed the others there things as well and went to set my new bass into the room. I was think about what to do with the old one and decided on giving it to Makayla. I went and grabbed a marker to sign it just so it would be worth a little more.

It was eleven when I glanced at the clock. I don't want to go over there as soon as she gets home so I figured I would wait until two. This day has dragged on. I want to see her again. I want to apologize for rushing things.

I grabbed John's old guitar because it was still usable and strummed a couple cords matching the tune for the song I was writing. It was an up-beat song and the lads were listening to me. The dance around the room a little and I tried to keep from laughing as I sang.

At one point in time John grabbed his new guitar and matched my tune. We sang together and the song was going good.

"Ey Paul," John said, "How about this for the next line?" John sang the idea of new lyrics "Oh we danced through the night, and we held each other tight. An before too long I fell in love with her. Now I'll dance with another, oh, since I saw her standing there." I added in a yell that made the song come together.

"Well, my heart went BOOM when I crossed that room, and I held her hand in mine" I carried out the -ine, "Oh we danced through the night and we held each other tight, and before too long I fell in love with her, now I'll never dance with another, since I saw her standing there. Oh since I saw her standing there, yeah since I saw her standing there!"

We finished and I wrote the remaining part if the song. By the time we finished it was 1:15. I decided that I would walk over there so it would be 1:30 when I arrived. I grabbed the lyrics and took a guitar with me so I could show her the song.

As I walked over there I sang the song to myself. It was so catchy. You could get hooked on it just like I got hooked on Makayla. I got to her front door and knocked.

She opened the door two minutes later. "Hey Paul." She smiled giving me a small hug.

"Hi," I answered.

"Please, come in." She lead me to a small family room. "What brings you here?"

"Well, I wanted to apologize for blurting out about you being my girlfriend. It was only our second date and it was uncalled for." I watched my hands the entire time I talked chasing one thumb with the other in a circular motion.
