Paul's P.O.V.

It was our last full day in Ashburn and her father decided to call in sick so he could spend the day with us. We decided we would go to a performance by some local band. We were leaving in two hours so we ate.

When we left for the place that the band was playing we ended up in a completely different place than we figured they'd be playing. When we sat down at a table the band was already playing. They did a couple of cover songs but mainly original music. I had on a hat and sunglasses attempting to go unnoticeable which went well.

We stayed there listening to the band for a while and had a couple drinks. I didn't really drink much alcohol so I mainly had juices and water. By the time we left her father seem a little tipsy. I was fine with it mostly because he seemed like a funny drunk.

"Did you know, there's probably a-" he changed subjects mid-sentence, "I really like dragonflies. They remind me of pterodactyls."

"Father, I think you drank too much." Makayla said laughing.

"Nonsense! I don't drink. Do I?" We broke out in laughter.

"You'll regret it in the morning."

"Regret what?" He asked, "Oh! Look!! It's my favorite pub! Can we go?"

"No. You've already drank too much, the last thing we need is you getting ahold of more alcohol." Makayla scolded.

"Awh." He whined.

We pulled into the driveway and her father could barely stand. We had to help him get into the bedroom.

"I could've done it myself."

"Paul, let go of him for a second. Father you can't even stand on your own." I followed her directions and he started to fall. I went to help him catch his balance and he waved me away.

"Get your night clothes on, we'll be outside to make sure you get in bed okay." We walked out the door and she turned to me, "I'm really sorry."

"It's fine. He's been a little funny." I chuckled.

"Makayla! Come tuck me in!" I laughed as she turned toward the bedroom.

I walked down the hall to the little room we shared and got my clothes. I walked over to the bathroom as I heard the bedroom door open.

"Paul? Don't come in the bedroom yet." She ordered.

"Yes ma'am."

"Stop calling me ma'am. It makes me feel old."

"Yes miss." I teased.

"You can come in now." She allowed me to enter.

"What time are we leaving tomorrow?" I asked.

"I was think around ten o'clock."

"Okay. I guess we better get to sleep then." I smiled as she curled into my side. "Goodnight love." I kissed her head like I have been every night.

"Goodnight." She leaned up and kissed my cheek.

I didn't want this "vacation" to end. I've had fun here in Ashburn these last couple of days. Her father seemed to be a good man. I think he liked me. I hoped he did.

A/N: I've recently noticed I had the wrong year with the song "I Saw Her Standing There" and I apologize. Some websites are idiotic morons. The chapters are coming slower because a.) I'm having a little writers block b.) I'm on vacation so it's not my main concern to work on this. I should be back to normal daily updates by tomorrow. :) Hope your all enjoying! Be sure to vote or follow and thank you for reading!! Oh, and sorry it's short!!
