Raon teleported his group to the entrance of the Black Castle. He looked back to the three dragons and found that their humanoid forms changed to a younger version from the last time.

Eruhaben looked at the three with a weird and confused look on his face. Why are they changing their forms again? What's the point?

"Let's go, Human said the Empress' room is on the third floor, away from the others in the castle," Raon said and they went up the stairs. It was swift and no time was wasted. When they reached the third floor, Cale was there waiting with Lord Sheritt.

"Here we are! Human! These are Li Zhen, Li Lui, and Li Qian, the three dragons of the North," Raon introduced the three dragons who were eagerly waiting for their cue to see the Northern Empress'.

"Wait, before you go inside, Raon, did you give the thing that I told you to make?" Cale asked and Raon looked at him in surprise.

"Oh! I almost forgot about that, hehe, Here you go," Raon said and created three silver bracelets on their right wrists before letting them go inside.

The three northern dragons only glance at the thing on their wrists before they all went inside the room.

"Pauline!"

"Pauline, are you in pain?"

"Pauline, can you hear us?"

The three dragons crowded the side of the bed, looking at the injured person lying on the bed. Li Zhen looked around and found the basin of water and a white towel near it so he took it and wet the towel, squeezing out the excess water and using it to wipe the sweat off of her face.

Li Lui and Li Qian also looked around the room and tried to help to ease her pain, but it was not very effective.

"I think it's best if we leave her for now if we keep her company like this, and given the fact that there is no available cure yet, I think we will only hurt her more and worsen her situation," Cale said, looking at the three dragons being very careful and gentle over the Empress of the North.

"But for how long? Did she even eat anything or drink anything while she was in this state? What kind of help did you all give her while she was unconscious?" Li Qian asked with furrowed brows.

"I agree, What kind of help did you give her while in this vulnerable state? If those who have mana cannot approach her to not trigger the poison then what kind of cure is available for her to use?" Li Lui while balling his hands into fists by his side.

Li Zhen was silent, not stopping from taking care of wiping down Pauline's arms and neck while the others argue. They were obviously upset and Cale knows that, but the people around him, especially the dragons, are very sensitive creatures. He doesn't want to know the extent of their patience so he needs to act fast before anyone explodes from anger.

"Let's take it outside, we don't want Pauline to get disturbed while in this state, right? Let's go to the next vacant room," Cale said and he turned around to exit through the door of the room. He heard the footsteps following him and he was relieved that everyone did not fight on the spot. Thank goodness for that.

After that, he went to the room next door and watched how Raon, Eruhaben, lord Sheritt, the three dragons, him, and Ron all went inside, and the door closed. Silence filled the area while everyone was assessing each other.

"To answer the question earlier, we used a human method to stop the bleeding and used bandages to prevent the wound from being infected. I was the one who did it because most of my tenants have more mana than I do.

Also, I consulted Lord Sheritt for any possible reason or cure for the poison that Pauline was suffering from. In case you need an introduction, Lord Sheritt and Eruhaben are dragons that have been living before any of us were born," Cale said and looked at the three dragons to see their reactions.

After a moment of silence, Li Zhen looked in his direction and asked the most important question of all,

"Who was targeting you to get the Empress of the North roped into your problems?"

"Excuse me?" Cale was surprised by the sudden question that he was genuinely gaping while looking at Li Zhen.

"The Empress of the North hasn't made any kind of enemies before she reached your continent... I guess, given the fact that you are a renowned hero of the Kingdom people would target the people who want to get close to your for personal reasons..." Li Zhen looked at the others inside the room before his dragon eyes settled back on looking at Cale's face, "But to think you made another enemy... and the empress got caught in the crossfire, I feel disappointed and angry for her," Li Zhen said and crossed his arms.

"Listen here, it was not his fault to be roped around the national affairs of the kingdom, he's already trying to live his best life," Eruhaben said trying to prove his point of view of Cale's heroism but Li Lui made a side comment, breaking Eruhaben's line of thought.

"Living his best life? With the number of people who have underlying intentions inside of this kingdom, he can live his best life here? Unbelievable," Li Lui said with a scoff,

"Please, no need to fight, we just need to prioritize have to save the Empress first and foremost," Ron said as his eyes slowly opened and looked at the three dragons' way.

"We don't want to lose anything here, do we?" He said, Cale swallowed his spit and looked away from Ron, good thing that Ron was on his side, it's really a good thing!

Another moment of silence went by, and Cale took this opportunity to ease the Northern dragons enough that they will not use their powers around his castle or any of his people or on this continent.

"We will do our best to get a cure for the Empress as soon as possible, and we need every possible help to make it happen... So, can we work together?" Cale asked. The three northern dragons looked at each other for a brief moment, before Li Zhen, who Cale figured out was the leader of the three, looked their way with a serious look on his face.

"We will cooperate, but to get to the cure of this 'unique' poison, we need to know which one of your enemies that you pursued attacked, so we can get to the bottom of all of this," Li Zhen said and although stunned yet again from the words that came out of the dragon's mouth, Cale nodded and assigned the three vacant rooms near Pauline's room to stay in.

After that, he went down with Ron to tell the others about the news about the poisoned Empress and her three dragons, as well as the duration of how long they will stay inside the castle.

Everyone looked at each other with visible worries on their faces. Three dragons that have the attributes that could bring death, isn't that a huge threat to everyone?

"Fret now, everyone! The Great Raon used his abilities to subdue their attributes, they won't be able to take any lives with my powers," Raon suddenly appeared above Cale's head, reassuring everyone who was worried. Ron went to the kitchen to tell the news to his son and also help him prepare dinner.

After that announcement, Cale let Raon rest on his head, using his magic to relieve Cale from his weight while they navigate through the black castle to look for the children, On and Hong.

Cale and Raon saw them at the small garden that they were working on a few weeks ago.

"Oh! Cale's here!" Hong noticed Cale and the two of them both jumped into his arms in their cat forms. Cale smiled before telling them the news that he just said a while back.

"The Empress is poisoned?"

"The Empress is very sick?"

"What can we do? can we help?"
