Lord Sheritt followed Cale and Rosalyn who went to a vacant room to settle Empress Pauline's wounded body on the bed. They moved to the side, watching from a reasonable distance while Lord Sheritt approached the bed and moved the blankets and the bandages around her wound to see.

But before Lord Sheritt was able to do anything, she saw the human start to tremble, and the pained look on her unconscious face started to appear. She quickly looked at the wound and found the black web-like veins that comes from the wound. Upon closer inspection, she saw that the black veins were starting to grow little by little.

"When did these things appear on her skin?" Lord Sheritt asked the two of them, putting back the bandages and pulling the blanket up for the Empress. Rosalyn answered the question, but her expression was still worried as ever.

"It was after using healing magic on the wound. Not only that it did not heal, but it has also gotten worse and the Empress seems to tremble in pain, Lord Sheritt, What should we do?" Rosalyn asked her, her hands rubbing her arms nervously.

"You used healing magic, and the wound has gotten worse? How is that possible?" She asked them, looking up to meet their gazes this time.

"We also did not understand, here, Lord Sheritt, this was one of the arrows that wounded the empress," Cale said and took out a bloody arrow from his spatial storage ring. Lord Sheritt examined the arrow before looking back to the wounded body of the foreign empress.

"I will look for an answer to this phenomenon, for now, please clean the wounds of the Empress and do not let the skin rot. It will be very risky, given the fact that we cannot use the healing magic on her," Lord Sheritt said solemnly before she left the room. Cale and Rosalyn helped each other to change the Empress' bandages before they left as well.

They didn't know that as soon as they left, the shuddering of the Empress's body slowly come to a stop, and her breathing slowly calmed down.

Cale and Rosalyn went back to the first floor to find the others looking at him with concern and worry. Concern for the foreign empress, and worry about the three phase-two dragons that were coming directly toward their kingdom. Cale met their gazes before speaking.

"The Empress is resting, we cannot do anything but wait for Lord Sheritt to find something out about her condition. As for the three dragons, we do not know what they want in the West, but we must be prepared for their arrival, for both the combat and negotiations as well," Cale said and everyone nodded.

Cale looked outside the tall windows, seeing a glimpse of the walls around their duchy from afar. Some time ago, those same walls were able to defend the citizens from Wyrens... but now... how will it hold up if... if and only if the three dragons tried to destroy the Western Kingdom? Cale doesn't know... he doesn't want to know.

"Cale, I will go to the Empress' room to watch over her... What will you do?" Rosalyn came back to his side, her clothes were changed to her normal attire, and her red hair was tied in a high ponytail.

"I will go back to the duchy to warn them first. If there is something that will changes from the state of the Empress, immediately tell me," Cale told Rosalyn before he went to the Duchy with Ron.

Cale looked outside the carriage and found that everyone was leisurely taking a walk or having fun, not knowing that disaster will be coming their way. Ron opened the carriage door and Cale walked out of the carriage, his parents and his siblings were right there to welcome him, sporting worried looks on their faces.

"Cale, I'm glad that you came back well. Can you tell us what happened to the Empress? The Crown Prince called me earlier and-" Duke Deruth run his mouth while looking worriedly at his son, but his wife stopped him

"Duke, calm down, we are still outside," Duchess Violan said and they all went to the study room of the Duke to discuss exactly what happened at the ball. Cale made sure to censor some parts where the empress was hurt since his siblings were both present. That part of his report made his two siblings perk up and looked at him with worried looks.

"The Empress was injured? Is she okay, big brother?" Lily asked him while sitting on the edge of the couch.

"Is her life in grave danger? We have good medicine and potions for healing scars, do you need some to deliver to her, Big brother?" Basen asked him, his expression cannot be hidden underneath his glasses.

"The two of you, be quiet first, your eldest brother needs to say more, he is not done reporting," Duke Deruth said, and the two quieted down. Cale patted both their heads before he resumed his report.

"Lord Sheritt is already looking for clues about her condition and a cure, but that's beside the point... from the North Continent, we learned that there were three deadly dragons on that place. Before I went to the duchy... Raon and Eruhaben were already outside the continent to intercept the three dragons heading to our continent," Cale said. Everyone inside the room was left surprised.

"What?! There are three phase-two dragons that were coming to our kingdom?! What are their intentions?! Should we prepare our military right now?" Duke Deruth asked Cale in panic.

"Dear, settle down. Cale is here, don't jump to conclusions yet," Duchess Violan said to his father and Cale nodded in agreement. He told the duke to open the map of the world and put some pins on the location where Raon and Eruhaben will be intercepting the three dragons.

"This is the water borders of the Western continent, further away from this place will Raon and Eruhaben will stop the three dragons to try to negotiate and talk with them first. If they failed to do that, we will be the first place where the three dragons will go," Cale said and put another colored pin towards his black castle.

"They will go to our duchy? Why? Do the three dragons have other agendas?" Duke Deruth asked in bewilderment. Cale put his arms over his chest before he answered the duke.

"It's because the three dragons were closely connected to the Northern Empress, I think they are coming to the west to ensure that she is safe and alive," Cale said and took a few more pins to put on the duchy, the shore, and the capital.

"We need to secure these three locations to be safe from any harm or damages, this will be our main priority," Cale said and Duke Deruth nodded solemnly and told the head butler to gather the captains of the Dukedom.

When Cale was about to leave the study room, he received a call from Raon. He went straight to his bedroom first before answering the call.
