Chapter 30: The Dethroned Empress (2)

Cale opened his eyes and cursed out loud.

That God of Death is such a crude character!

Why does he have to involve every innocent beings into a loop of mess?! Just remembering the exchange between them made Cale frown and glare at the harmless looking wall at the other side of the room.

"Sir Cale, The God of Death just spoke to me. The Empress of this land, where is she?" Cage asked him.

"I will ask Raon to teleport you to her location but for now, before you go, please curse that God of Death to hell and back!" Cale said and saw Cage smiled  and happily nodded her head.

"Don't worry Sir Cale, I will do that every day. Waking up, going to bed, even in my idle times I will do it as well, you can rest assured!" Cage said enthusiastically.

"Good, the three dragons here, you will also go with Miss Cage to Lady Pauline's side," Cale and and was met with protests from the three dragons. Cale have no time to entertain their feelings and told them they would be useless to the investigation especially now that they are injured and trying to recover.

That made them shut up, and with Cale's strict instructions to Raon, they watched at the side as they teleport to their designated location.

Eruhaben looked back to Cale and asked him about the deal with the God of Death.

"I can't go into the details but, In exchange of trying to put the balance back in this world and annihilating that foreign soul from here, the rewards I asked for were to lift the curse of the dragons from Lady Pauline and cleansing her soul from the black magic." Cale said and the three people looked at him in awe and was speechless.

Does this mean, they can assume that Lady Pauline, one way or another, will be staying with them longer?

"Let's go now to the other side, Eruhaben, please seal this palace and place some traps on the courtyard of this place. If there's any intruders in the future, we should at least be alerted and try to capture them alive." Cale said and Eruhaben nodded at this before turning around.

Cale walked towards the exit, Rosalyn and Choi Han following his trail quietly. They have many questions inside their minds but, their questions can wait, eliminating the enemies are their top priority at the moment.

Cale paused just before he opened the entrance door. He looked behind and looked at Rosalyn, Choi Han, and Eruhaben waiting for his words, his next actions.

"We will go back to meet with the Crown Prince,"  Cale said and they left the area.

On the other side of the world, inside the western region, a particular person was stupefied seeing three familiar faces that suddenly appeared in front of her.

"Miss Pauline is here, Hello!" Raon cheerfully greeted the empress but the four figures were stun locked.

"L-Li Zhen? Li Liu, Li Qian... you are all here..." Her eyes immediately open the water works as she fall to the ground, feeling emotionally overwhelmed from seeing the three dragons. The three dragons were in panic.

Hovering towards her, they awkwardly yet gently patted her head and back while asking if she was hurt.

Empress Helena shook her head, still crying, looking up to see through her blurry eyes the faces that she missed seeing for a long long time ago.

"What happened? you three appearing before me... did something happen at home? should I go home?" Empress Helena asked them, feeling baffled why they were here.

The three Northern Dragons all looked at each other and decided not to tell her anything.

"Nothing... How are you feeling? Can you stand up? are you hungry?" They asked her.

"I'm fine, really I am, thank you for asking, wait... wait... how could this be... w-we can converse with each other?! The curse! What happened to the curse?" Empress Helena asked flabbergasted.

"I will leave you guys first and look for my human, see you guys later!" Raon couldn't look at the four anymore and decided to make an exit.

Li Zhen took a deep breath before he explained to her, the thing about the curse.
