Cale looked at the three dragons who were working together and observing Rosalyn and Raon's little experiment inside the laboratory. This place was located at the lair that was from the Super Rock's hidden villa.

After three years, this place was hidden away while they use the black castle as their main house. However, some of his people, Like Rosalyn and Choi Han, would occasionally use this place with his consent.

Cale looked around the laboratory and compared it to the first time that it was used as is. There were definitely more apparatus inside, and more experiments and documents stashed away in some places.

"Raon, this poison seems to have similar properties with the dead mana, but at the same time, it isn't," Rosalyn said while examining the tip of the arrow with her mana.

"You are definitely right, Rosalyn. But it also has the properties of how the dead mana affects the body. The black spider-like webs on her skin was very evident and it spreads quickly when exposed to mana," Raon said.

"Then wouldn't that mean that the poison is a dead mana? If the properties and toxicity were the same then it should be one," Li Qian said, glaring at the arrowhead that pierced the Northern empress' body and poisoned it.

"It's not entirely made of dead mana, and that is the problem. We need to know the other components of the poison to secure a cure," Rosalyn said, brows furrowing while she tries to understand the difference between the poison to the dead mana.

With Cale's approval, Raon took out a small vial with a small amount of dead mana inside it.

"This is the dead mana, and the poison is not dead mana," Raon said while studying the two different dangerous things in front of them.

Cale looked outside the window of the laboratory. It seems that they will need to have more time to know what that poison could be. Maybe he should go back to the black castle to look after the Empress instead?

While deep in thought, one of the Northern Dragons walked towards him and stood in front of him. Cale looked up and found the undeniable deep blue eyes of the Dragon of Destructions, Li Zhen.

Cale's heart almost stutters in surprise, or maybe fear as well. Being surrounded by very powerful beings was still not in his comfort zone.

"Young master, your method of aiding the empress, I want to learn it." He said, voice and expression serious. Cale looked at him with wonder, why was he very proactive when it comes to the Empress, not just him, but even the other two northern dragons as well?

"Sure, let's go back while they are busy," Cale said and turned to give a few instructions to Raon and Rosalyn before leaving, in his mind, he was reminiscing about the truth that he partially uncovered while they traveled up to the Northern part of the world.

The Northern Continent, aside from the Kingdom that was once banded together with the Northern Alliance, also has a few other kingdoms that were co-existing before the ARM and the White Star intruded. But the place of the Northern Empress' kingdom was nowhere near those kingdoms, not even close to the Tree of Life. It was underground.

Yes. The Northern Empress' land was underground. It was made with winding tunnels and a large secluded palace that was constructed in the middle of a large pile of ice. Of course, the location of the three dragons was way deeper than the kingdom, and it was extremely cold and dark, making him feel fear and uncertainty while enveloped in darkness.

When he met the three Northern Dragons, the first one that they encountered was Li Zhen. He and the other two dragons were hibernating at that time, and they were barely able to get some clues for his investigation because of the state of their kingdom.

The place only has a thousand people, her mother included. If it wasn't for the tattooed tiara on Cale's skin at that time, he would not be led to a hidden path that lead to the mysterious area underneath the palace.

'But it's still very shocking. Anyways, let's focus on the task at hand.' Cale thought as he and Li Zhen went back to the Black Castle's third floor with the bandages with a basin of water to use.

Cale and Li Zhen went to her bedroom and they started to clean wounds on her body. Li Zhen was attentive while watching his demonstration, there was a deep frown on his face the whole time and Cale was nervous deep inside. Why does he do that? He was not hurting her intentionally but his serious expression made him feel anxious.

"That's about it, we just need to be aware of the bleeding and replace it before the blood dries up," Cale said and stood up straight before he washed his hands on the water basin.

Li Zhen was silent and leaned forward, putting the stray hair from Lady Pauline's face to the back of her ear. His actions were tender and careful. Cale only watched on the side quietly before telling Li Zhen that they needed to go in case the presence of mana got her injury irritated and hurt.

As soon as they left the area, the dragon with Cale released the tension from inside him and Cale stiffened a bit while standing next to him.

"We need to find the cure, soon and fast," Li Zhen said and left Cale there standing in the hallways while he made his way back to the manor where the others were experimenting with the others.

Cale looked back at the closed door behind him before he sighed and looked at the dawn coming down to the west kingdom. Perhaps... he needs to have a little chat with the crazy death god again.

On the other side of the manor, Raon was talking with Eruhaben about the poison that was reacting with mana. The first part of their investigation revealed that there was a dead mana inside the poison, but what baffles them is the reaction of it to mana.
