I went to the bathroom and took a nice shower in a timely manner seeing as I had already bathed this morning. I was careful not to let water touch the hair too much although I was told it's waterproof. I felt clean and I looked clean I stepped out in my towel and the nostalgia hit me like a wave and a smile came to my face.

"A the bathe sweet yuh suh?"

"Sumth like that "

He shook his head and made his way to the bathroom as well.

I was searching for clothes but I really didn't have Sunday drive out clothes, just guh UWI and come home clothes. I found the clothes that I bought downtown. Mi did really waah wash the shorts before out of habit but we'd be late if I did and I didn't have any other jeans shorts. Guess I'll just put it on and pray.

I went into the bathroom to get my brush to fix my hair and I was greeted with air freshener. Ha, anyways mi guh tek up mi brush and come out.

I got dressed caz what's the hold up. Put on deodorant and lotion and start brush the hair. I changed the style from two buns with the back out to two flat twists at the front with the back down. I looked nice not gonna lie. Same time Ranique step out inna him sousou underpants like him sexy (he kinda is but who tell him mi waah see all a that).

"Yuh look cute b"

That alone him seh and mi start blush.

"Thanks"

It was a Sunday afternoon. Of course a crocs a dweet, it's a drive out suh we probably naah guh far or nothing anyways.

He got dressed in a white Hanes shirt and light blue jeans so we looked kinda cute and matched. He put on his white Tommy slides and we headed to the car, we were meeting Trece at a gas station.

"Can I connect?"

"Yh. Just nuh play no foolishness"

I connected and started scrolling through to find my good music playlist. 7 fall and many rise started to play. My playlist continued as we met up at the gas station and continued to go wherever Trece said. Of course we reach pon the stretch and a race thing start wid a white crown athlete. I swore I felt the car shoot off and it was giving me an adrenaline rush that I loved. It was risky but so fun passing it and seeing it coming I the rear view mirror. And the hand signals were helping. The whole thing was fun because how could you see a total stranger and just start a race. We came upon a jerk center and stopped. I got a cup of cow skin soup that was REALLY good, thick and full a flavor. We both ordered quarter chicken and bread and I got a cold Pepsi to wash it down but he got a cold red bull.

We drove a little and came up on the basically empty beach that was clean and was kinda black sand. I loved the view. Trece pulled in and we all walked to the beach with food in hand. Trece man did a carry a bottle a VX. Ranique turn on him car and start blast music and the vibe was good with the small friend group just having fun. Ranique throw some VX inna mi Pepsi bottle and some inna him red bull and yk mi and Trece start sing enuh. We started walking along the beach and then the ramping start. We were all of a sudden trying to put each other in the water. Ranique did done push mi mek mi wet up. Suh mi run him down but him just grab mi and lift mi up mek mi legs wrap round him waist and walked out into the water. The water was cold but being next to him and with him like this gave me a warm feeling. He slowly let me down into the water and I stood in front of him with his hands wrapped around my body as we looked at the beautiful sky not saying a word.

We eventually had to get out of the water and kinda wash out feet off by getting water in the bottles we drank out of. Such a simple life. I had more fun just being outside of the house with people I've grown into friendship with I've had for all my teenage years and mi honestly feel like bawl rn.

"We a guh straight home?"

"Wah yuh waah do get some food before we guh pon eh block?"

Ranique looked so confused as to me not wanting to go home rn.

"I want to go somewhere where I can see Kingston".

" Oh. Alright. Fawud nuh"

We told Trece and her bf bye as we pulled off but separated along the way.

The sunroof was open and the cold air felt amazing our clothes were beginning to dry by the time we pulled into a spot off the road into a secluded area. There was a white axio parked some chains away and when I tell you it was rocking side to side it was rocking side to side.

The view was breathtaking to me I sat there looking at it in awe.

"Have you ever traveled?"

"No but I want to some day"

"The way yaah look pon this mi can tell yuh woulda love New York"

"You travel?"

"A lot, I've been traveling from age 3. I also do business overseas, I was gone for 6 months after we met"

Ohhh, that's why I never saw him again.

"Do your parents travel a lot too?"

I've never heard him bring up family. Only family I knew of was Dru.

"Them travel, nuh really know wah them up to now stills"

"Can I ask?"

"When mi tell them mi get Abby pregnant them seh them done mi and throw mi out, mi did have a friend who tek mi in and him show mi the game and mi put mi own ring to it and settle things fi mek sure mi son alright, that's how mi start bang e line, I wanted to be an accountant " he ended with a smile. I was just looking at him soaking in all this new info. He only did it because he felt he had no choice and that it was the best way to provide for his son. He started with that and now he's BIG on real estate and business an even does this internationally.

Ion know if it was left over VX or what, but I climbed over into his lap. He looked surprised but said nothing.

"I'm proud of you"

He held my face and kissed my forehead.

"Thanks b"

I sat there looking into his eyes then my eyes dropped to his lips and back into his eyes seeking his confirmation. I knew I had it. I leaned in and started kissing him. The kiss went deeper and deeper. Our tongues tied and intertwined. Great feeling. We stopped and I looked at him trying to understand.

"Unless yuh want in here start shake like the Axio ova desso we need fi cut, yuh have school a mawning"

Mi convince dah man yah aguh wait until mi start grow cobweb down there enuh.

"Wah if mi want it shake like earthquake a lick Haiti?"

He looked me have shocked half amused.

"A rum chat, link mi when yuh sober. Show yuh what time it is"

I laughed. Dah man yah a mi weakness.
