Jake Ji struggled with life. He was trapped in between two worlds: the world of peace and innocence with his friends and family, and the world of blood and fighting with the Union.

In the world of peace and innocence, he could goof off and hang out with his friends all day. He could read manga, cry over fictional character deaths, and play soccer and video games with Kenny, Dean, Timothy, and Eunchan. He could relax, eat snacks, and watch movies with them. He could laugh and play with his brother and friends all day.

In the world of blood and fighting, he was shackled to the Union. He was a dog waiting for commands from his owner to attack enemies or retrieve documents or money. Donald Na was rather lenient with him compared to other Union executives, and allowed him to take his time with accomplishing tasks given to him.

Most would assume that if he had to give up a world, Jake would choose to give up the world of blood and fighting with no hesitation, but that was not the case. Jake hated being tied down to the Union. He hated being forced to deal with businesses and enemies according to Donald's agenda.

Jake Ji didn't hate fighting, but he wanted to choose his own opponents. He didn't want to hurt any innocent person; no, he wasn't a villain. The two types of people he wanted to fight were delinquents and strong people.

He was quite similar to Wolf in regards for the desire to fight. Although he wasn't as blood thirsty as him, Jake did enjoy the adrenaline and thrill from fights. Sometimes he fought with Dean by his side, but more often than not he would fight alone, even against the pleas of his friends who hated seeing him hurt.

Jake Ji lived in the worlds of both light and dark, but he would never give up either of them.
