It was raining during winter vacation. There were no students or teachers on campus.
Sprite was all alone. Even though he was terrified and wary of most humans, especially after he had been tied up and had rocks thrown at by those three humans, he still hated being alone.
He missed Teddy. He didn't understand the concept of a winter vacation and the school being closed. He didn't understand why Teddy wasn't there.
Sprite shivered as he took shelter at the entrance of the school. The wind still blew some of the rain towards him, soaking his fur.
He heard fast footsteps and when he looked up, he saw Teddy climbing over the school gates. "Sprite!"
"Mew!"
Teddy scooped the kitten up and tucked him into his jacket. "It's gonna be pretty rainy for the next few days. It'll be warmer if you stay with me instead of here,"
Sprite nuzzled against Teddy's chest.
I'm going to need to get a second job to afford feeding both Co and Sprite, Teddy thought as he brought Sprite home.
