sirens?
I feel thumping down my chest, I struggle to open my eyes, and as I open, I look down myself, all bloodied and bruised,
I realize I'm in an ambulance, the paramedic was piercing the syringe down my right arm,
my eyes search for you, my heart, my soul, where could my missing piece be?
"where- where's my wife?", I struggled to get those simple words out my mouth,
"Sir, I need you to lie down. Everything will be alright, you just had a small accident. Your wife is in the other ambulance. We just need to get you both to the hospital-"
white noise filled my ear drums, I now could not understand the words that came out of the paramedic,
as I lay my head back, I found you, staring to the skies, we are at the park,
I'm resting on your lap, and as you looked down, you caressed my cheeks with those soft hands,
"About time for you to wake up, sleepyhead", you giggled.
I sat up and all of it was gone, I was left alone, by the spot we used to have our evening picnics,
yet again, searching for you,
"Luth."
I'm right where we first met, that same old spot, at the cafe by the street next to the library,
you're siting all alone, with that damned vape pen I repeatedly said no more,
it was pretty obvious how much that I was staring at you across the street, and as I stepped of the curb,
some other guy greeted you from the back, and you gave him that smile, that same smile that I had fallen for,
but now, I know, that smile was his high, the both of you exchanged hugs and he sat next to you,
he resembled a lot like me, and as I walked across the street and you were as though greeted with a such horrifying sight,
yeah, this was the place I caught you cheating at our favorite cafe.
