1 Year Later
Visenyra stood by her husband with a frown on her face. They had just returned from Dorne, and her twin children were tightly held in their arms. She had only told her family of the pregnancy. As soon as she found out that she had been with child she fled to Dorne, only informing her closest family of the news. Rhaenyra had followed her sister under the illusion of fostering in Dorne so that she could offer her sister some extra help. She had conceived on their wedding night but showed no signs of pregnancy.
Mekar was the one who had noticed that she had not bled in months at that time. She had been past the three-month mark. Luckily, she was one of those women that did not show much, and the small bump did not stick out. Now they were returning to King's Landing, her mother was pregnant, and Visenyra knew that this would be the last year Aemma would be living. They had snuck into the Red Keep and settled in her room while waiting till daybreak.
Rhaenyra would be the first to show her face as she approached their mother's room. By the time she entered the room, the entire palace knew they had returned. Visenyra used this to announce her children and present them to both her parents. The dragon twins were what they were called a boy and a girl with their father's colouring and mothers' hair and eyes; no one could deny that they were beautiful.
Visenyra stilled a bit when she noticed Otto Hightower in the room with the hand of the kingpin fastened to his chest. The glare she directed at her father caused the man to flinch before he handed back his grandchildren. He was going to get screamed at later. Rhaenyra, however, looked at the scene with a frown Alicent had returned to the Keep and, according to Rhaenyra's friends in court, had been writing her letters, and the woman was actively sneaking around and having conversations with their father.
As the Targaryen family met in private, the two sisters whirled around at their father, anger on both their faces Rhaenyra spoke first. "Have you cheated on Mother," the girl hissed, her voice slipping into Valyrian tones. There was a heavy silence as the King and his sister watched on in horror as Aemma stumbled onto her seat and turned to Viserys. "You promised me that you wouldn't, Viserys", her voice low and filled with pain.
"And I have not broken that promise, Aemma" Rhaenyra glared at her father. "In that case, keep your distance from Alicent Hightower, or can you not see what she is trying to do". Visenyra now turned to her father, fury in her eyes. "What".
Her voice was soft, yet the fury in that one word caused everyone to move far away from the princess and her father. "Otto fucking Hightower and his whore of a daughter are back in the damn keep, and you clearly have not considered my advice or dreams, or else Mother would not be pregnant, and those flipping greens would not be here".
Rhaenys looked at her niece, realization on her face "You have dreams of the future, don't you" The eldest child of Aemma and Viserys nodded as she took deep breaths as she paced the room. "Rhaenyra and Laena are engaged to Daemon, and that will stay that way for the sake of our family".
Rhaenys and Corlys considered breaking the betrothal due to Daemon's absence, but now reconsidered Dragon dreams were no laughing matter, and they agreed to her words. Aemma looked down at the floor, knowing that this child had now sealed her faith. Visenyra looked at her father. "You have started down this path no matter how many times I warned you to pray that the Dance of Dragons can be avoided".
The man nodded and looked at his wife, but her eyes were filled with tears. She knew her days were numbered, and her husband would marry another. The queen rose to her feet and left the room; the letter she had hoped not to send had now been sent to her cousin by a raven. The Vale would support Visenyra. Aemma ensured that her cousin was on high alert about the Hightowers and that he would support her niece's claim.
Unknown to Aemma, Jeyne had already met Visenyra. The two women had enjoyed each other's company and often exchanged letters, so Jeyne would naturally support Visenyra's claim anything else would cause her claim to be questioned.

Rhea Royce luckily would not die thanks to a young Visenyra's interference. The two were married for three years, and they were allowed a divorce after they had an heir. The child would inherit his mother's house, but now everything was fine; both families saw it as agreeable.
So, they now had another ally. Daemon had ensured that he maintained communication with his son, and he and Rhea developed a good friendship, but they all knew those two would not work as a married couple. Visenyra smirked as she thought about her cousin in the Vale. He would be ready for marriage soon.
It was deep into the night when Visenyra got a letter from Daemon; he was happy for her and Mekar but also agreed with her thoughts about the Hightowers. He would be back soon and most likely act his part regarding the Stepstones, as both Rhaenyra and Leana seemed pleased with the idea.
Visenyra threw the letter into the flames and took a sip of her wine; Mekar lounged in a chair near the fire, his bare chest covered in sweat and oil as he sharpened the blade of his spear. "My love, you seem pleased" Her amethyst eyes met his, and she grinned. "I am. Would you like to celebrate with me, husband".

Rhaenyra sat with Laena, both wrapped up in the sheets, their naked bodies pressed against each other "Ñuha jorrāelagon, Visenyra iksis iā drēje zaldrīzes kesi sagon sȳz lo ziry māzigon naejot vīlībāzma sīr sagon ziry" (My love, Visenyra is a dragon we will be fine if it comes to war so be it) Rhaenyra placed a soft kiss on Laena's bare shoulder "Iksā paktot. Ñuha embar qēlos" (You are right my sea star"
The two women missed Daemon but made up for his absence with letters and time together. Daemon would be returning in a few months for the tourney anyways. While the Targaryen's and their loved ones spent their nights in bliss, Otto Hightower was pacing. Princess Rhaenyra did not even speak to his daughter, and several people seemed to know something they did not.
