Aegon's birth was celebrated with bright smiles and one ball, yet nobody saw him as anything but a thirdborn child with nothing to inherit. Visenyra had borne two more children in the past three years now having two sons and two daughters it was clear that the throne had heirs. Lady Alicent Hightower had screamed at the top of her lungs for mercy months prior when she gave birth to her daughter.
Visenyra had the woman fed a poison that made Helaena her last child Aemond and Daeron Targaryen were never going to be born from her womb. The court whispered as the Royal consort was placed in seclusion. After the birth of the princess, it seemed that the king had three daughters and one son. Luckily Visenyra was the perfect person to succeed her father. Otto Hightower was furious.
It was clear to the people that Visenyra was blessed and so were her children. Many said she was blessed by the gods, while others mentioned how she did not trust the Maesters as many of them were from Oldtown. His daughter was often reduced to a whore on the streets and other nobles mocked him using her title flippantly as if her position was not above theirs. He could do nothing to stop it as he was busy being the head of his house.
Princess Rhaenyra had married Prince Daemon alongside Princess Laena both women had given the man heirs to his territories. The youngest daughter of Queen Aemma had focused her attention on Caelum the territory her sister had convinced their father to bestow upon her. She had turned the land into a thriving epicentre for trade. She had made herself incredibly wealthy and had allied herself closely with House Lannister. Her eldest daughter had befriended the children of the Lady Paramount and like her aunt had promised her best friend a place at her side. With such a close bond and power many noble houses had turned to support Princess Visenyra as they had seen how capable the female heads of these territories who were trained by the princess herself where
Luckily the name day of his grandson was here Aegon had come, and he was allowed to visit his daughter. Otto would forever regret entering the tower to see his daughter Alicent was pale and sweaty her breathing laboured, but she managed to give him a small smile "I have given the king a son and a daughter. He has an heir and a tool for treaty".
The man watched his daughter and smiled she was smart and honest never disappointing him he was upset that she had been locked away without a proper title. He left as soon as she fell asleep as it was clear that she really could not see many guests. Not that anyone visited her on his way down however he froze. In the garden near the tower was Princess Visenyra she stood with a smile as two palace attendants trailed after her each holding her youngest children. The three-year-old prince and princess walked ahead of their mother. Beside her was the King who seemed pleased as they turned and waited.
Otto bowed "Greetings Your Majesty, good morrow princess" The Princess gave him a nod before kissing her father's cheek and walking over to her eldest children. "You have been to visit Alicent". Viserys asked as he gave the man his full attention "Yes, Your Grace".
