I found myself engrossed in a mountain of work, to the extent that I nearly forgot to have my lunch. Suddenly, Rekha, with a mouth full of food, approached me and questioned my decision to skip the meal. Startled, I glanced at the clock and realized that lunchtime was almost over.

"I completely forgot," I admitted while hastily grabbing my lunch box. Just as I was about to dig in, my phone chimed with a notification.

I checked it:

[Text message]

Akshay: "Hey, did you get your food?"

I quickly typed a response:

[Text message]

Me: Yes, just about to start!]

My heart skipped a beat as I read the text. What a coincidence, I thought to myself, and a smile crept across my face.

"Wait, so you two are back together?" my colleague asked with excitement clear in her voice. I quickly denied her assumption, not wanting to show the details of my personal life and potentially cause a stir. Thoughts raced through my mind about what would happen if she knew him for who he truly was. I wanted to keep our relationship private and avoid any unnecessary gossip.

"But you should get back together. He's so attractive," she persisted, her enthusiasm clear. After a brief chat, we both returned to work, seemingly unaware of the passing office hours. As usual.

Upon reaching home, I decided to indulge in one of my favorite movies from Studio Ghibli, "Whisper of the Heart." Their films always emanated a positive and comforting atmosphere.

After finishing my dinner and tending to various household chores, I resumed the movie. However, my concentration was interrupted by the doorbell. Oh no, I nearly forgot that he had mentioned visiting me today.

As I did, my eyes were greeted by the sight of him standing there, his face relatively in touch with the rain. Though not thoroughly drenched, his hair bore evidence of recent moisture, and a few glistening droplets adorned his coat. Yet, even in this slightly disheveled state, his presence commanded my attention, captivating me in an instant.

And I couldn't help but be mesmerized by his presence.

"May I come inside?" he asked, his voice resonating like a melodious tune.

"Please," I replied, and he gracefully removed his shoes, as if he had practiced the motion countless times. His gaze wandered around my room, fixated on the artwork adorning the walls, which I had thoughtfully curated.
