Eleanora's Pov
"Cara, don't worry. You got this! You're the best singer here" Uncle Ezra said softly.
"How do you know? You haven't even heard me sing" I let out a nervous laugh.
"But I have and you're my favorite singer" Aaron chirped in.
"I just hope I won't mess up" I sighed as I saw more and more people enter the massive hall.
I awkwardly fixed my black crop top for no reason other than to take my mind of off the overwhelming feelings. I had paired it with gray ripped jeans with my fishnet leggings appearing from underneath it and covering some of my stomach area.
"Sweetheart, cheer up. Enjoy the experience. Even if something goes wrong, atleast you tried" Grandma gave my arm a reassuring squeeze.
"And it's not about winning or losing or being the best among everyone. It's about doing what you really like" Aunt Ava added to the encouragements.
For the past hour, everyone have seen me super tensed and worried. And needless to say they are all trying to come up with the best piece of advice they can. All except grandpa, he hasn't even arrived yet.
While some told me that Bianchis are the best at everything they do and I'm definitely gonna win this, others took more mature approach and told me to just savor participating.
I heard the announcement for the student to gather up and went towards the back of the stage. I rubbed my hands together to get rid to some of the nervousness but it didn't work.
This place is filled with more than two hundred people. If participating wasn't the worst part, the crowd definitely is. It's giving me horrible anxiety and I don't know how I'm gonna do this.
"Evening" Arius greets me as I reach our band but before I could reply Lucas interferes.
"Nervous?" He asks gently taking hold of my hand.
It is quite obvious from the expressions on my face that I am extremely anxious and his concern right now is understandable but I dislike how he always comes in between me and Arius.
"Yeah" I replied, being completely out of words as the anxiety creeped up my spine.
Arius and Lucas both showered me with encouraging phrases and meaningful words. It was nice of them but nothing that they said could help me relax.
Maybe I needed to pull Arius in the empty changing room down the hall. I think that would make me feel better. I pushed the unorthodox thoughts away. Now is not the time. I blame his black leather jacket that's conveniently showing off a good chunk of this hard and smooth chest.
I peel away my gaze from him and bring my attention to our music teacher who's giving a speech of his own. I've had enough motivational quotes for a day but I understand everyone's doing it out of good intentions.
