Eleanora's Pov
"But I thought grandpa was mad at you?" I scrunch my eyebrows, waiting for him to answer.
"Don't worry he still is. Your cute grandpa is no doubt a type of person who hold grudges" Arius laughed when I smack his arm for the mocking tone.
"Rightly so" I gave him a glare which added to his amusement. "But if he doesn't like your family, why would he agree for the dinner then?"
"It's more of a formality. Mom convinced him that I'll behave around you and offered to host a gathering as an apology for the misunderstanding" He explained and I was embarrassed for the millionth time today.
Arius had told me how childish grandpa had behaved. He had made up a new version of the incident, effectively blaming everything on my dear boyfriend.
It was embarrassing as is but grandpa obviously had to make it a huge deal by getting Arius' parents involved. How am I supposed to face them now?
While his mother was really nice to me the first and only time I met her, his father was scary and cold. And after what grandpa did, I doubt any of them would like me.
"Cheer up" Arius said sensing the shift in my mood. "It's not a big deal. My family understands that your grandpa's actions are not your fault" He reassured.
"Did your parents say anything about me?" I asked hesitantly, not sure if I want to know the answer.
"Apart from 'she's beautiful', 'what did you do to get her?', 'when do you plan on making it official' and 'you make a lovely couple' ?" His mouth tilted up at the words. "No, they didn't"
"You told them we're a couple?" We weren't even exactly 'together' yesterday.
"Unlike today," He gave me a smirk of victory. "I didn't know what we were so I avoided making any statements but they assumed nonetheless"
"You could've denied. Half of my family still doesn't know about us and even the ones who know, are oblivious to..." I leaned closer so I could whisper the next part. "Us fucking" I moved back again but kept my voice low. "Or that we're in a relationship now"
"They'll know one day" He stated way too confidently.
"Arius, this might be funny to you but it isn't for me. You don't know my brothers. Xander and Kyson might kill me if they find out what I've been doing before band practices"
"We can always run away?" He still hasn't exactly calmed down since I accepted his proposal.
"Brilliant" I rolled my eyes.
"It'll be fine. And trust me my family will never out this. I swear I tried to get these notions out of their heads but they're too smart for that shit. And I've never had a girlfriend so my attraction towards you was way too suspicious for them to not notice"
"You've never had a girlfriend?" I was shocked to say the least.
Arius was the type of guy who any girl would love to get with. He was smart, caring and really really handsome. I never thought he wasn't in a relationship before me.
"Nope!" He turned to me. "Never found someone like you" He smirked again and I blushed a deep red.
Sadly for us, the exit doors were here and I had to leave. I wish we could spend more time together. Every minute with him felt like lightning. Strong of emotions but too fast to barely register.
Before we could go over our parting statements and my signature smile, I was pushed behind a wall. The action was so sudden that I didn't even realize what happened.
