"They fell right to sleep." Fury murmured, his arms around your shoulders. You smiled, leaning back into his embrace. The two of you had just finished putting Lucy, Marcel, Vincent, Minerva, James, and Temperance to sleep.

It was just you and Nick back at the house tonight with all of the kids, as the others had gone on some sort of mission and T'Challa was back in Wakanda for something unimportant.

"You think the mission is going okay?" You asked softly, resting your head on his shoulder.

"Of course." Fury said softly, turning off the lights in the nursery and making sure the night lights were plugged in. He grabbed the baby monitor so we could hear if there were any problems tonight. "They're the Avengers after all. And besides, Maria's watching over comms tonight and she'll alert me right away if there's problems."

"I take it then we might not be getting any sleep tonight?" You asked, lips turning up into a small smile.

Fury chuckled, putting an arm around your waist and the two of you made it to the opposite wing where his bedroom was. "Oh? Is that how you read the situation then?"

You giggled as he opened the door to his room.

It was a rather simple room compared to some of the other guys rooms. A lot of the furniture was black and the walls were white. They were adorned with a few pictures, mostly pictures from your wedding or his and Maria's wedding. A few of him holding the kids, and one from his army days.

There was a bookcase- as there almost was always a book case in the rooms- filled with mostly history books and journals with notes he had hand-written himself. There were also a couple of photo albums and model cars on the shelves as well.

He didn't have any windows in his room, which he said was because he wanted the preparator to have to come through the door if they were attacked. However, he did have a secret exit that was behind the bookshelf, though the bookshelf was adorned with screws that made it look like it didn't' come out of the wall.

Yep, Fury was just a little paranoid.

But really- would he be Fury if he wasn't?

The both of you undressed before sliding under the covers of the bed and Fury pulled you into his arms. You ran your thumb lightly over his scars before kissing him on the lips, like you always did when you were with him.

"How much sleep do you want to get tonight?" Fury asked in your ear. He already had a deep, dark voice, but you swore it dropped two octaves when he got like this. It was so deep it seemed to hit the pits of your belly.

"Next to none." You whispered back before his hand traveled between your bodies and then between your legs.

"And your body seems to agree," he chuckled, before his other hand cupped the nape of your neck, pulling you into a kiss, before plunging two thick fingers into your wetness.

You sighed in content before a low groan built up in your throat. You attempted focusing simply on the hot, wet, sensation of your mouths moving together, but when he pressed down on your clit, you lost sense of your mouths, pulling away for a moment as he circled it again.

Your muscles contracted around his fingers and Nick smirked at you. "That's it babydoll, let go for me."

And you did.

"How was the mission?" You asked Thor the next day. The others had trooped in, kissed you on the top of your head, cheek, or lips, and then gone upstairs and crashed in their beds without another word.

All except for Thor, who didn't look like the fight had fazed him at all, although his face had been caked with dirt smudges and a few cuts. So you'd grabbed the first aid kit and now the two of you were sitting in the kitchen, facing each other, as you cleaned up him up and doctored his cuts.
