«Chapter 20 • It Sucks

Jungkook woke up on a hospital room. He felt something weird where he had gotten stabbed. He felt a hand grabbing his.

"Who...where..." Jungkook murmured.

"Jungkook! You've woken up," Jennie said as she dropped some tears.

"Jennie, you're okay," Jungkook said on a low voice. He was so worried about her.

"I'll call the doctor to come see you," Jennie said as she left the room.

The doctor checked on Jungkook.

"He'll be okay, he would need to stay in the hospital some more time. To see how he does with the surgery. He will need someone to take care of him. Who of your family would like to-" the doctor didn't finished talking when Jennie volunteered.

"Well, anything you need, you can ask a nurse," said the doctor as he left. Jungkook was surprised and happy as Jennie offered to take care of him.

"Thank you Jennie," said Jungkook. He was sited on the bed. But he wasn't too up, he had to be careful. He could open the points that where made to him after the surgery.

"Do you need anything?" Jennie asked.

"Can you call my manager?" Jungkook asked.

"Sure," Jennie said. She went on, grabbed Jungkook's phone, and call one of the managers. Jennie put the phone call on high voice.

"Hello? Jungkookah? Why haven't you come to work?" Manager Jisoo asked.

"Hello Jisoo, I got into a liver surgery, I won't be able to go to work for the next days," Jungkook said. He was making some effort, because as he talked, his stomach moved, touching where he had his surgery.

"Oh 찐자?!! In what hospital are you?" Manager Jisoo asked very worried.

"I...don't know..." Jungkook said. He didn't know where he was.

Jennie told the manager the hospital address.

"Oh okay, I'm going. I'll tell Jin, Jimin, Rosie!" Manager Jisoo said as she hung the phone up.

"Thanks," said Jungkook.

"You're welcome, need anything else?" Jennie asked.

"Yes, can you grab my hand? I feel comfortable sleeping that way," Jungkook said.He really wanted her to hold his hand. He wanted to feel that warm hand.

"Thank you," Jungkook said as he fell asleep.

Jennie also went to sleep, her head on top of his chest.

Jungkook woke up and the police came into his room.

"Hello Mr.Jeon, I'm here to tell you what happened," said the police officer.

Jungkook carefully heard what the polices said.

"Hejeon so confessed that after he kidnapped Jennie, he would killed her and would have buried her body on his backyard. So he would always be with her," said the officer as Jennie woke up. Jungkook said bye to the officer as he left.

"What was the police doing here?" Jennie asked.

"They came to tell me what happened," Jungkook said, "the kidnapper confessed everything, he's guilty. They identified the kidnapper as Hejeon Lee. I don't know if you know him. He says he got jealous because he saw you with me. He is obsessed with you, that if you aren't with him, he'll kidnap you for it. That's why he followed you everywhere. He had planned that a long time ago. And well, if it wasn't because I came on time, he would have kidnapped you." He skipped the part where it said he would have killed her.

"Thank you so much Jungkook," Jennie said.

Then a knock was heard on the door, and Jennie went to open it.

"Hello, I'm Jungkook's manager Jisoo, and this is my brother. We got permission to go in," Manager Jisoo said as Jennie let them in.

"Jungkook!" Manager Jin yelled as he walked over to him.

"Hello Jin," Jungkook said.

"Are you better?" Manager Jisoo walked up to Jungkook. Jennie just stood on a corner looking at them.

"I'm not bad at all, is just the surgery, but away from that, I'm okay," Jungkook said.

"But what happened?" Manager Jin asked

"I will tell you all later," Jungkook said.

Then another knock was heard on the door. Jennie went to open the door.

"Hello, I'm Mr.Park, one of Jungkook's closest friends, and this is my fiancée" Jimin said as Jennie let them in.

"Jungkook!" Roseanne said as she approached to the bed.

"I bet that surgery hurts," said Jimin as he looked at his surgery.

"Yes, but it I'm okay," Jungkook said.

"And what did the doctor tell you?" Asked Roseanne.

"I'll be okay, I just need to stay in the hospital for some more time, and the. I can leave," Jungkook answered.

"Would you be able to go to our wedding?" Jimin asked.

"Yes," Jungkook answered.

"And who's taking care of you?" Asked manager Jin.

"The girl in the corner, she's the girl I been taking to you all about. Her name is Jennie," Jungkook said as all of them looked at her.

"Hello, nice to meet you, every one that treats any of my friend okay, is also my friend," Managar Jisoo said as she approached and gave Jennie a handshake, "my name is Jisoo Kim, but you can call me Manager Jisoo or Jisoo."

"Nice to meet you too, I'm Jennie Kim, you can call me Jennie," Jennie said.

"That's Jimin and Roseanne Park. They are getting married on New Years Eve," Jisoo said as she pointed at each, "and the one over there is my brother. His name is Seokjin Kim. You can call him Manager Jin or Jin."

Jennie looked at Jisoo and nodded with a smile. Then a nurse came into the room.

"It's time for Jungkook to rest, you all have to leave, expect for the one taking care of him," said the nurse as he headed them outside.

Jennie stayed in the room.

"It sucks not being able to do anything," Jungkook said. But it was worth it Jungkook thought.
