Error's POV
I sit comfortably in my string hammock, knitting away as I make another scarf. It may seem challenging without any sight but I've grown stronger when it comes to using my other senses. Touching especially helps and my hearing has become more precise to be more aware of my surroundings. I hum to myself, enjoying how calm it is. Quiet, peaceful, solitude.
Hmmm...It's too quiet...
I open a peekhole and start listening to my favorite AU, UnderNovela. It's a wonderful drama and I could only imagine what they may look like or how entertaining it would be to watch, but it's nice to listen to nonetheless. And it's fun for me to imagine how the scenes play out in my head. I enjoy listening to it once again, finishing up my work on my scarf.
Then I hear a portal open and footsteps. Yet that doesn't make sense. Nobody but me could make portals into my home. I quickly shut the peekhole and wrap my new scarf around my neck, preparing my strings. Some damn anomalies can't keep themselves from causing trouble. How annoying for me and unfortunate for them. I hear the footsteps speed up. I shake my head, sending my strings with a sway of my hand. Within seconds I have the intruder wrapped from head to toe in my strings and lift them up to face me, covering their eyes of course. I want to be on an even playing field after all. If I can't see them, they can't see me or figure out that I am blind. And this strategy allows me to know just what anomaly I am dealing with. I could feel that their body is structured like a skeleton, most likely a Sans, but goopy all over with multiple tentacles also needing to be tied down as well. Which they weren't too happy about.
"Unhand me! Put me down now!"A voice snaps as the stranger struggles in my strings
"As tHe 0nE wHo diSrUpTeD mY m0viE tiMe bY iNvAdiNg mY sPaCe, y0u aRen'T 0nE t0 tAlK. NoW wHo aRe y0u aNd wHy I sHoulDn'T gEt rId oF yOu nOw."I say, strings wrapping around the soul
"I'm Nightmare and I was looking for the destroyer that hid away recently. Sources say that he's in a blank space so when I found this place I assumed I was close."He says, no longer struggling
Nightmare huh? I've heard of him....Doesn't he have a gang? Tch, he certainly wasn't what I was expecting.
"TcH, dId nOt eXpEcT y0u tO bE a WaLkInG oCtOpUs. WhAt dO yOu wAnT?"I say, crossing my arms
"I'd like you to join or ally yourself with my gang."He tells me
"Uh-hUuh. WhAt dO i gEt OuT oF iT tHaT i cAn't gEt bY deStRoYinG wOrLds mYsElF?"I ask
"Well with the gang you could cause more destruction and plan it out in addition to having a team that has your back if there's ever any trouble. Like with Ink for example. He has recently joined my brother's team so if they ever came to bother you, you'd have a team ready to help you."He replies
"AnD wHo iS oN tHiS tEaM oF yOuRs?" I ask
"Dust, Killer, Fell, Cross, and I recently got Cipher to join. And Horror-"He begins to list off
"I'm iN."I say, smiling
"WhAt?"He says
"HoRrOr's a gOoD aLlY oF mInE sO iF hE is WiTh yOu, I wiLl jOin."I say, lowering him down and starting to release him
"Shake on it?"He suggests
"HeLl nO."I say
"You'll have to grow to trust me, Error."He says
"AnD yOu'lL hAvE tO leArN tO reSpEcT mY bOundAriEs, NigHtmArE."I say
He is silent.
"Can you remove the strings over my eyes?"He asks
"ArE yOu gOiNg tO leAvE?"I ask, turning in my hammock and grabbing my needles to start crafting again
"After you do so, yes."He says
"FiNe."I say, snapping my fingers
The strings release him. I craft away, only hearing the clicking of the needles. Though I could tell that he didn't leave.
"LeAvE."I say
Then I hear a teleportation sound.
Finally! Now what did I just agree to?
Meanwhile, Nightmare's POV
I arrive back at my home base, walking through the halls lost in thought.
So that was Error, the destroyer huh? Interesting...He really is a glitch...Quite powerful yet so....
"Hey Boss! How did the recruitment go?"Killer asks, popping up beside me
He pokes my tentacles curiously.
"It went well, Killer."I say, slapping his hands away
"Why are there marks on you as if you were tied up?"He asks, blunt as always
Horror approaches once hearing that, gazing at me curiously.
"In fact, it's all over you and your goo!"Killer says
Horror shakes his head.
"Nightmare, I told you that I should've come along for Error. I would've brought some snacks and you wouldn't have had a hard time."He says
"How would snacks have helped him against an AU destroyer?"Killer asks
"He would've recognized the smell and knew that I was there or someone with me. He would've known that there wasn't a threat and wouldn't have been so hostile at your intrusion. I've been his friend for a month now, I've caught onto his patterns."He replies with a shrug
"Wait, so you got caught Boss?"Killer asks
"Of course he did. In Error's home, nobody is safe. There's no way to sneak up on him with his hearing. His first trick is to tie whoever tries completely where they can't move and get their soul and taking away their senses like vision or touch."He says
"Why vision?"Killer asks
"That is private and I'm not sharing that easily. That would risk my friendship with him."Horror says
No wonder Horror was the reason that he agreed.
"Well he's our ally now so he will come around more often. You can ask him when he visits."I say, rolling my eye
"Which I don't advise if you value your life."Horror says, walking away
I walk to my room, shaking my head.
This will certainly be....interesting.
