The Univengers: Reign of Doom

Chapter 1: Terminators and Conditions

March 10, 2006. A cheekily named uni-jet soared above the Sonoran Desert in Arizona at midnight. It looked like a cross between an airliner and a military jet. Each wing had a turbine that faced downward. In the middle room, Peter Parker was sitting on a bench with his Spider-Man suit on. His mask was next to him. He made three little web balls and E.T., the alien botanist, telekinetically spun them in the air like the solar system. Peter grinned. Dr. Bruce Banner was doing push-ups shirtless. In the cockpit, Letty Ortiz was in the pilot's seat and wore pilot headphones. She donned a grey tank top with black denim pants. Harry Potter was sitting to the right of her. He was wearing a black t-shirt under a green jacket.

"I remember when these cheesy Cyberdyne commercials were promoting their new products like butterflies running on batteries and this creepy one where a mom could tuck her kid in with robotic arms from halfway around the world*," Letty chuckled. (*watch a YouTube video of the preshow from T2 3D: Battle Across Time - Ian) Harry didn't understand since he didn't get those types of commercials where he was from.

"I think I see it," said Harry. A glimmer of a triangular building with little grey lights shone in the distance. The building was now in full sight.

"We should land around here so those bots don't see us coming," said Letty. The uni-jet turned to face away from the facility and landed at a nonchalant pace. Harry and Letty walked out of the captain's cabin. Peter put on his mask and E.T. stopped his floating trick as the three little web balls fell to the floor.

"Hey, Harry," said Spidey. "We think you and E.T. should go on into the facility and the rest of us can fight off those bots we were told about."

"Okay," said Harry. "Are you going to be alright?"

"Don't worry," said Spidey. "You two just need to get that AllSpark." Letty got into her 1997 Nissan 240SX which was sitting behind Optimus Prime in truck form. The ramp doors opened and Optimus rolled out first. Spidey clutched onto the top of Letty's car on all fours. They both were off. Harry and E.T. flew out on the Firebolt broomstick. Banner walked out and took a needle from his pocket. He pricked his right finger and his whole body turned green. The Univengers were charging. The uni-jet was out of sight from behind them. In front of them, a tank came into sight. It was no ordinary tank though, it was a Hunter Killer (HK) Tank. It was 70 feet tall and had two branching arms with two small guns for each. On top was a boxed head with two bright lights that shined like flashlights. The HK-Tank fired off its four guns as its treads rolled over a few skulls of previous trespassers. Blue bolts flew toward the Univengers.

"Incoming!", said Optimus. They were all able to dodge the bolts at a close call. Harry and E.T. were now in front. Harry cast his wand and the right arm of the tank exploded. The left arm kept firing. Spidey leaped onto Optimus. He webbed the two left guns. They started to jam and exploded as a result. Optimus's left arm came out and punched the middle of the tank just above the treads. It fell onto its back in a matter of seconds. There's more where that came from. Six T-800s marched forward, one of them stepping on a skull along the way. They resembled metal skeletons and had human teeth. Their eyes shined red above their ghastly grins. Harry and E.T. zoomed over the T-800s. They now had a full view of the triangular building. It was mainly black with a few lined panels that glowed a dull grey. Harry drifted toward the ground and in front of two big hatch doors. They both dismounted from the Firebolt. Harry stepped back and so did E.T.

"Bombarda Maxima," said Harry. Boom! The doors now had a gaping hole and the two walked through.
"Lumos". The tip of Harry's wand shined a bright white. The inside of the facility was dark and the only light came from Harry's wand. Harry held on to the firebolt in his left hand. They ventured further.

Optimus, Spider-Man, Letty, and the Hulk headed straight toward the six T-800s. One of the six tried shooting at Letty's car, but Spidey kicked it from behind. The robot fell to the ground and Spidey took its long, rectangular gun. He shot at the grounded T-800 and brought a headshot to another one nearby. Optimus ran over one. Three down, three to go. The Incredible Hulk grabbed two of the robots and smashed them together twice like cymbals. Optimus grabbed the last one with his right hand.

"Catch, Banner!", he said. He threw the T-800 up in the air and the Hulk leapt up about 15 feet and yanked the robot down with him. The T-800 was crushed from the impact of hitting the ground. Hold the applause though because the four heroes heard a noise that sounded like a faint, distorted aircraft. An Aerial HK glided into sight. Its base slightly resembled an aircraft except the front curved down to a flat edge and there were two lights in the bottom front that resembled eyes. The back had a tail to the left and right that pointed to 90 and 120 degrees. There was a jet on the left and right side also, but the middle part of the Aerial HK was shaped like a short cylinder. The whole HK shined a silverish blue. Spidey's spider-senses went off.

"Quick, into that covering over there!", he commanded. Within a second, the Aerial HK fired at them with a gun from the bottom middle. The four heroes scrambled to a nearby small, ruined building, bolts trailing behind them. They were out of sight from the Aerial HK. Pieces of a few supports were scattered on the ground and dust was everywhere. They were not safe for long though. Behind the HK's gun, a hatch opened and three Mini Hunters were released. They were very much like drones. A big fan took up most of their heads and in front, they had rectangular slits that acted as their eyes. Below their eyes, they had what looked like a big, metal mustache that had downward sharp points at the end. Under all that, a gun barrel made up the rest of the body. The Mini Hunters went into the covering. The spider-senses went off once again.

"Something's coming." The first Mini Hunter zoomed and started to fire at Spidey. I still have that gun that I stole from that bot, Spidey thought. But guns don't have the same pizazz as webs! He leaped over the Mini Hunter and web-grabbed it. The wall-crawler yanked the Hunter to the right and it hit a pillar, exploding in an instant. Another one was heading toward Letty's car. She opened her door and pointed her Makarov pistol at it. She fired two shots and successfully struck its "head". The Mini Hunter moved past Letty and made countless loop-de-loops during its final flight as smoke bellowed from its top. The third Mini Hunter saw its smoking comrade hit a wall. It turned to see the four heroes. It was the last of that Mini Hunter trio, so it had to kill all of its targets. Whatever it took. Even if it was getting grabbed and slammed to the ground like a rag doll by the Hulk.

"We should probably stay under here," said Spider-Man. "Those bots will get trigger-happy at the first thing they see."
