The Univengers: Reign of Doom

Chapter 2: The Lightning Woman

E.T. and Harry were in the dark facility. They heard footsteps.

"Did you hear that?", asked Harry. Suddenly, bolts of lightning hit the two and they fell back a few feet. They groaned in slight pain. Harry pointed his illuminated wand in front of him to see an African woman with white, long hair and a black jumpsuit with a cape. There was a gold trim all around her outfit.

"Who are you?", demanded Harry. The woman said nothing. She tried to zap them again, but Harry cast a shield charm to block the lightning. It ricocheted back to the woman and she tumbled to the floor. Harry and E.T. ran past her. The woman got up and tried to zap them again but Harry was much faster. He turned his head back.

"Stupefy". The woman fell temporarily paralyzed. The alien and wizard came across a door that was about the size of a bedroom door. A small pad with a few buttons sat to the left of it. Harry pointed his wand at the pad.

"Alohamora." The buttons turned green and a beep sounded. The door slid to the right. White light shined from the room in front of them. It was the AllSpark in a cylinder glass container in the center. Harry and E.T. walked in.

"Wingardium Leviosa." The container came out of its hinges and floated towards Harry. E.T. gave him a skeptical look.

"What?", said Harry. "Oh, right. Want to hold this?" E.T. nodded. Harry let go of the container and it moved along with E.T. as if he was walking a dog.

"We'd better hurry," said Harry. "Our friends might be in a spot of bother. I don't have spider-sense but you can never be too sure." The duo hustled past the paralyzed lightning woman and hurried out the entrance. They got on the Firebolt and as they got into the air, they saw the Aerial HK prowling over the covering that their friends were under.

"I think they're over there," pointed Harry. The Firebolt sped towards the Aerial HK. Harry sent a bolt from his wand to the flying menace. The right side of it exploded and it circled down to a fiery crash. The duo saw their friends getting out from under the covering. Harry lowered the Firebolt down a little.

"We got what we came for," said Harry. "Now, let's get out of here."

"You guys go ahead," said Letty. "Bruce and I will catch up." The four Univengers hurried triumphantly yet hastily to the uni-jet, in case any more Hunter-Killers or T-800s were popping up. Harry slowed the broomstick down to let his comrades go in first. Letty went to her car under the covering and got out a small, black device that was shaped like a spray can from the glove compartment. She also brought out a pair of jeans and a black shirt from the passenger's side.

"Hey, green meanie," she joked. The Hulk turned to her with a stern look. She pointed the device at him while holding the clothes with her other arm. "Take a whiff of this." Letty pressed a rectangular button and green fog radiated from the device. The Hulk inhaled the fog and began to shrink. She threw the clothes to the Hulk as he shrank and drove about 10 feet away to give him some privacy. Around 40 seconds later, Bruce Banner walked over to the car and was now wearing the clothes that Letty threw him. He was holding his ripped jeans in his right hand. He got into the car and sat on the passenger's seat. Letty started driving towards the direction of the uni-jet.

"If I see one more killer robot around here," said Letty. "I'm gonna have to piss you off again, Banner." The scientist gave a slight laugh. Letty's car drove onto the ramp into the uni-jet. The whole team was now together. Peter was resting with his mask off on a soft bench in the aircraft.

"Don't worry, Peter," said Letty as she walked by him. "We'll get you home in a jiffy."

"Thanks," he sighed.  Banner gave truck Optimus a pat and flopped onto another bench nearby. E.T. was examining the All-Spark in its container. Harry and Letty were back in the cockpit. Harry started a route to New York City on the GPS touchpad.

"Setting course for New York," he said. Don't worry, everyone had their seatbelts on.

The uni-jet bolted across the dark sky at 400 miles per hour. Harry thought about that encounter with the electricity woman.

"While E.T. and I were in that facility, we got attacked by this woman with white hair and a black dress," Harry said to Letty.

"Do you think she could've been a Death Eater?", Letty pondered.

"Not sure," said Harry. "She was shooting out lightning from her hands. May have been some kind of dark magic but I don't remember learning about that at Hogwarts."

The uni-jet got to New York City in seven hours. The New York Air National Guard permitted them to arrive in Manhattan. The skyscrapers were bathing in the morning sun. Peter was still in his suit but was now carrying a backpack that had his normal clothes. He was standing in the cockpit behind Letty and Harry and pointed to a nearby roof of an apartment building.

"Right there's good," he said. The uni-jet carefully landed on the roof. The back door and ramp opened out. Peter put his mask on.

"Okay, guys," said Peter. "I'll see you later."

"See ya, Pete," said Harry. Peter walked out of the cockpit and said bye to the rest of the gang. He rubbed his hand on E.T.'s head as he walked out. Once Peter was out of the vehijet, the aircraft lifted back into the air and flew away from the city. Peter changed into his normal clothes in a hidden alley, just so no one would see him go into his apartment as Spider-Man. Four hours later, the vehijet arrived at the Univengers' headquarters, Portum Ingressum.
