Chapter Eleven: Kiawe's Ranch and Z-Moves

[Kukui's Home - Outside]

Outside of Kukui's Home. The group were at a shore as they watched the morning sunrise.

Rockruff yawned.
"Pikachu?"
"Riolu?"
All three Pokémon went towards where the humans are.

Ash stretches and took out his Normal-Z. "Okay, let's do it, Pikachu!" He told him.
"Pika!"

"Hey, hold it! Why don't you try doing it with Rowlet?" Kukui suggested.

Ash looks at Kukui a bit confused.

"Rowlet can use the Normal type move Tackle, right?" Kukui asked.

"Z-Crystals works only when the Pokémon know a move of its typing. And since Rowlet knows Tackle, he can use a Z-Move too!" Jasper said.
Jasper's Pokémon Egg is seen in his arms.

"Really? Let's try that then!" Ash said, grabbing out Rowlet's Pokéball. "Come on out, Rowlet!" He called, throwing it.

Rowlet came out of his Pokéball and stood on Ash's cap.

"Rowlet, let's try using a Z-Move." Ash said.
Rowlet makes a sound of agreement.

Ash placed his Normal-Z into his Z-Ring.

"Okay, here we go!" Ash said. He puts his arms into a cross, and his Normal-Z activates. His Normal-Z begins to glow brightly.
Rowlet follows Ash's movements.

Ash charges up with Z-Power, both him and Rowlet ends with a pose. Ash sends his Z-Power to Rowlet charging him up.

"Nice! Your Z-Power has increased!" Kukui said.
"Go for it, you two!" Jasper said.

"Go! This is everything we've got!" Ash shouted.
Rowlet glows and dashed towards the sea with ultra speed.

"Breakneck Blitz!" Ash shouted.
Rowlet dashed through the water, temporarily separating it.

"That's some power!" Ash said, amazed.
"Pika!"

"What'd I tell you?" Kukui said. "Z-Moves are like secret moves!" He told Ash.

"Yeah! They're awesome!" Ash said, nodding. "Hey, Rowlet! Come back!" He called.

Rowlet flew back towards the sand, he landed on the ground panting tiredly.

"Are you okay, Rowlet?" Ash asked, crouching down.

"Using a Z-Move is really exhausting." Rotom-Dex said.

"Right now, just using it takes all its strength, but the more you train, the less tiring it will become. So keep trying!" Kukui told Ash.

"We will!" Ash said. "Rest up, Rowlet." He returns Rowlet back to his Pokéball.

"Jasper." Kukui called, looking at him. "You also have the Normal-Z from the Trial, didn't you?" He asked.

"Yeah..." Jasper said.

"Then, how about you try to do a Z-Move as well?" Kukui suggested.

Ash became excited. "Really?! You can also use a Z-Move?" He asked, looking at Jasper, eyes sparkling.

"Y-Yeah... In theory..." Jasper slowly said. "Leo knows Quick Attack, which is a Normal type move. But I don't have Z-Ring." He reminded, holding up his left arm.
"Rio?" Leo is standing on the ground in front of Jasper.

"I guess that's right..." Ash said, rubbing the back of his head. "But if I lend you my Z-Ring would that work?" He asked, looking at both Jasper and Kukui.
