"You what?!" "Ratchet, quiet, I don't want everyone to hear." "Well, I'm sorry, maybe you should have thought about that before you accepted a deal from Megatron!" "Ratchet!" Ratchet sighed. "Fine, I'll calm down. But what are you going to do, I mean, you can't actually be thinking of meeting with him?" "Well..." "Prime!" "I don't really have a choice, Ratchet. If I don't meet with him he'll find and kill Bumblebee, and you guys too." Ratchet knew there wasn't anything him or Optimus could do. "Fine, but you better be careful." "I will Ratchet."
The next day after Optimus had assigned tasks and Bee went on 'patrol', he left to meet with Megatron.
When he got there he was hoping that Megatron had decided to not show up. But to no one's surprise, when he got there Megatron was leaning on a tree. Optimus cautiously walked towards him. When Megatron noticed him he said. "Well, I didn't fully expect you to show up." Optimus kept twenty feet between him and Megatron. "We made a deal." "Yes we did." In all honesty, Megatron didn't know why he had made the deal with Optimus, he just couldn't figure out what else to do with Optimus, and even now he still didn't know. Because though he is pretty sure it would never happen, he just wants to sit and have a regular conversation with Optimus.
(I know thus us sounding like a repeat of Blitz and Bees story... but, I promise you they just start out simulor bc I had a hard time starting this one TvT)
On Optimuses side, he wanted to be out of there as soon as possible. Megatron sat down, as to not come off threatening. Optimus was caught off guard by this. "What did you want to meet me here for, Megatron?" Megatron wished with everything he could come up with something to say, but when it counted, nothing ever came to mind. But finally something came to mind. "What was your scout doing with mine?" But of course Megatron had to ask the one question Optimus didn't have an answer for. "I- uhm-"
"Well?" Megatron tried not come off rude, he failed. "I don't know, I didn't get the chance to ask him." This now left Megatron at the same place, he hadn't talked to his scout either. Megatron knew he couldn't just ask Optimus random questions until he left, he had to just do it. "Then, would you like to just have a normal conversation with me?" Megatron knew that as soon as said it Optimus would be confused. Why would the leader of the Decepticons want to have a normal conversation with an autobot? But he knew that if he didn't ask then, he never would. Needless to saw Optimus was confused. Had the Decepticon really just aksed him to have a conversation or had he been hearing thing? But no, there was no mistaking what the Decepticon had just said. "Uhm..." Optimus wasn't sure why but he said. "Sure." Megatron was a bit surprised by this, but happy the autobot had accepted. Optimus sat down.
At first the conversation was extremely awkward, with Megatron trying to starting things off with small talk and Optimus being uncomfortable, then as time passed, Optimus slowly became more comfortable around Megatron, giving responses, and adding comments, and Megatron was slowly getting better at what to say around the autobot. And eventually they were having a nice conversation.
(Meanwhile Blitzwing and Bumblebee practably being a couple, having a conversation of their own)
About two hours later, when Megatron and Optimus had become rather comfortable with eachother, Megatron knew he needed to suck it up and ask. But just as he was about to, Optimus asked before he could. "I know it's a little weird, but would you maybe be up to meeting here again tomorrow?" "You took the words right out of my mouth." He chuckled.
Just then, Optimus realized that it was starting to get dark and Ratchet was probably worried, he stood up. "It is getting quite late, I need to go." Megatron stood up aswell. "Very well then, I will meet you here tomorrow." With that the both walked in opposite direction, Megatron back to the Decepticon base, and Optimus back to the autobot base.
