The palace started the preparations for the ceremony, he did not want to wait even a day more. Ari was beyond happy, she was helping him pick out his dress and decor while Chaeyoung still hadn't returned to the palace since she chose to get ready with her mom.

"Jeongkook! What does all this mean?" his father asked as he rushed in enraged. While he was busy with the investigation, he didn't even notice that Jeongkook started preparations for the wedding ceremony, only when he opened the news did he see that the Palace announced the great ceremony that will take place between the future king and queen.

"Uh, getting ready for the ceremony?", he said as if it wasn't obvious, not budging at all by the tone of his father's voice or by his anger

"Stop it right now! How can you do this? And Chaeyoung, Is she part of this bullshit too?", his father became increasingly angry and frowned

"She is marrying me willingly, and I'll tell you even more, her father approved!", he replies, keeping his satisfied smile, he's too happy to react with the same hatred as his father, and he doesn't even look at him while he examines the material samples for his wedding suit.

Doyoung can't believe his son, he's cold-hearted and doesn't even realize the problems he can create, when did things escalate into this mess?

"You're out of your mind! Wake up Jeongkook, your brother is the one marrying her, not you, you'll break their soul mate mark, Chaeyoung belongs to Jungkook...", another attempt of his father to get him to senses, and another fail.

"Weird, I thought you didn't like her? Won't it be a great opportunity for everyone to marry who they want? Or was her father right and you want to control their influence?", he answers, continuing to look through the models until he stops at two of them, he can't decide which one will suit him better, which one will impress Chaeyoung more.

This only infuriated his father more, the indifference and the coldness with which he responds is only putting fuel to his burning mind.

"You two are traitors... I am against it and I order you to stop this whole masquerade!", he showed some kind of authority but that didn't impress him, at least it made him look up at him.

"You order me the way you did to my grandparents?", his voice was challenging, Doyoung was taken aback, his frowning face changed into wonder, "Did you think I wouldn't find out that you sent them away for trying to tell the truth? Because they stood by my mother when she tried to escape? You know, the time spent in the library and the meeting with Sages paid off!", he smiled in victory as his father was speechless, but that is a discussion for later anyway.

"Well you can't order me or Chaeyoung around anymore, I've got full support from the Sages ", he added, and looking at the fabrics for the last time, he chose the blue one, the same shade as the sky.

"See you later Dad, I have to meet my tailor!", with that being said he left enthusiastically

In the hospital room where the unconscious body of the prince lies, a person dressed in a white coat entered. He approached his bed slowly, then took out from his coat pocket a syringe with a suspicious substance, he was ready to introduce the deadly solution into the dropper system but he got pulled away from it.

The assassin faced his intruder who was no other than Mingyu, he didn't expect him since he appeared from nowhere. This time he was quick to overtake him and knocked him down. Before the assassin can take the suicide poison, Mingyu immobilized his hands and then clamped his jaw.

"Not this time!", then he hit him in the head so he loses consciousness. It happened so fast that Mingyu's body felt like he lost all his energy, he leaned on the wall breathing heavily. He rested a minute or two then took the phone and dialed a number. A beep, then another, until a voice is heard

"I am listening"

"I got him, he's unconscious now...", he informed as he glanced at the limp body beside him

"Good! Make sure no one knows about it..."
