"Nha! You guys made me curious... ", Haejoon walked closer to Chaeyoung, he held out his hand where one of his men had placed an ax... "I was impressed when your bond healed her wound from the shot, so I was wondering... If I'll cut off her hand will your bond grow back? ",

Chaeyoung's heart started beating crazily when the ax's blade touched her wrist, a little more pressure and it would cut her skin.

"No! Get away from her!", Jungkook yelped as he struggled to get out from the tight ropes that were holding him.

"Does your bond work both ways?... Don't worry, I'll send you two back together, piece by piece... ",

Chaeyoung looked at Jungkook who was trying to escape from the strings that immobilized him, shacking that damn chair and groaning because of his helplessness.

It was a heartbreaking sight. Only now did she realize that this was their last moment together, that their little dreams would never come true, and that this was the last time she would see him...

"Jungkook, ", she gently called his name,  tears falling from her eyes that were looking lovingly at him, when he met her orbs she smiled, "I love you... "

That's not how Jungkook wanted to hear her love confession. Chaeyoung closed her eyes accepting what was coming next as Haejoon raised the ax ready to slash her.

But the blade didn't reach her skin. She opened her eyes thinking that she was already in heaven and that it ended fast.

As she did so, she only saw men dressed in black untying Jungkook, and then they approached her as well. Haejoon was pressed against the wall by the same people. When did that all happen?

Then when she felt that her hands were free, she got caged again, this time in Jungkook's arms. He was holding her tightly, kissing the crown of her head. She could hear the fast beating of his heart, and then, how slowly it found its calmness. And she felt secure.

"Do something, witch!" Haejoon yelled as his hands were tied, face pressed against the cold wall.

"She can't do anything anymore, and she won't be able to do anything again...", a calm voice said.

Jungkook knows the owner of the voice and strangely Chaeyoung found a resemblance too.

"Jeongkook...", he was there at the door, the witch lying on his legs unconscious.

Chaeyoung pulled her head from Jungkook's chest, this way breaking their hug, to look at him and see the identical copy of Jungkook, standing there on his own, as if he had never been in a coma.

"Jungkookie! Chaengie!", past Jeongkook with a very enthusiastic voice ran Seokjin, to pull them both in a hug.

"Oh, I was so worried about you two! Thank God, Jeongkook's spider senses worked and we got here in time!"

Chaeyoung was the only one confused. Not understanding what Seokjin is talking about.

"Hyung! You are suffocating us...", Jungkook mumbled.

Acknowledging that his embrace was too tight, he let them go.

"Ya! Jeon Jungkook you better keep your promise! I missed the wedding just to take care of your brother... "

He wasn't hearing his hyung anymore, his full attention was on Chaeyoung. Jungkook saw that Chaeyoung was still looking at Jeongkook and it felt like a pang in his heart. He decided to finally introduce his twin brother to her.

"Chaeyoung, this is Jeongkook, the future Sage...

§

Jungkook was right when he told her that Jeongkook was nothing like she imagined or how he portrayed him when he was pretending to be him.

Jeon Jeongkook was cold and serious. He was like the personification of the winter, or so she thought. Or maybe it was because of the gift he had.

Jeongkook is the one to take the place of the Sages, the one they were waiting to replace.  And he knew this all his life. Since he was a kid Jeongkook had visions, fractions of the future. He could read the people as if they were some open books. His goal was to meet his brother and save him, but things got slowed by that dame accident.  Because no matter how powerful he was he couldn't read his destiny and or change it.

Since they returned three days have passed.  Three days of happy tears from Sejeong who finally can hug him again, and be with her two beautiful sons.

Three days of tears of regret from their father who constantly begs for forgiveness for his mistakes.

All these days Chaeyoung tried to find an opportunity to talk with him. Such a chance came up eventually.

Chaeyoung found him alone in the garden, he chose the same spot where Jungkook used to sit and reflect.

"Jeongkook? Can I talk to you?", she asked carefully not to scare his thoughts away.

Jeongkook averted his attention on her, greeting her with a small smile, "Chaeyoung, or should I call you, your Majesty?", he said it jokingly, and with that, she saw a resemblance of Jungkook in him, besides the visual one of course.

"Chaeyoung is fine, soon there won't be a majesty anymore... ",

"Do you regret it? "

"No, I am just... Scared... All these years I was taught how important the king and the monarchy are...  All these rules,  rituals... It all turned out to be pointless... and I don't know how people will react to the truth...",

Chaeyoung was afraid of people's judgment, of the bash Jungkook might get. What if his intentions won't be understood?

"They already got crazy when they found out about you... ", she sadly said as she recalled all those articles about the dark secrets held in the Palace. Even though the biggest lush of hate was directed towards Doyoung, there are still people who throw hostility at the twins too.

"You and Jungkook are so alike... No surprise you are soulmates... ", he said amused as he looked at her concerned face

"What do you mean?", she asked with a little frown

"You two care too much about other people's feelings, about what they will think... Also, you two are ready to sacrifice yourselves... It's no wonder that God chooses you two to lead the bond of love. You two are those pillars of light..."

"This why the bond healed you so fast, and that's the reason Jungkook, no matter how strong the spell, he could oppose it and didn't take things too far with that poor girl..."

Chaeyoung was astonished, never did she think that she and Jungkook were so important,  it was a heavy burden knowing all of this. Then she suddenly became sad as a thought came into her mind.

"Does this mean that our love is forced on us? Is it not real?", she teared up. Chaeyoung was afraid of it, afraid that all her feelings were a source of their mark. That in the end it was never her choice...

Jeongkook panicked seeing the tears threatening to fall from her eyes, so he hugged her carefully if you could call it a hug, he only placed his hands on her shoulders to look directly into her eyes, "Hey, it's nothing like that, your love is the purest, it's real, that's why you were chosen, so please throw away those thoughts... Or I'll tell Jungkook what you confessed to me in the hospital!

Chaeyoung's face becomes red, if he does it, Jungkook's big ego will grow to unlimited sizes,  and she will never admit to him that she is head over hill in love with him. That time she thought she was catching feelings for Jeongkook when in fact she was falling in love, all over again, with Jungkook.

"Don't you dare!!!", she said as she removed his hands and started chasing after him.

The garden was filled with their laughter, it echoed. Jeongkook couldn't recall when was the last time he enjoyed someone's company or did he laughed like that.

The only one who was bitter about it was Jungkook who had seen everything from the window that was opening onto the garden...
