I took out my phone when I heard it ring again. For countless times already. I am currently looking at the instant food that I should grab to eat at the convenient store. It’s already late at night; almost midnight. And I just managed to finish my report. It’s the time of the year when suddenly my workload is too much that I have to do overtime for days. Even for today, I could barely eat breakfast and lunch because I started to do my work as soon as I arrived at the office, which I arrived way earlier than other days. I couldn’t even have a proper lunch because of the meeting and the clients. I’ve been hearing a few new notifications right after I punched out from work but I just ignore it because I’m just too tired to look at the screen.

And now, there’s a call bothering me about choosing the food for me to eat. I was planning to not answer it at all but I can see some of the customers there are giving me some looks. It makes me uncomfortable. Well, they might have been uncomfortable with my non stop ringtone. Why the hell didn't I put my phone in silent mode? I wonder who the hell is enthusiastic enough to keep calling me even though I haven’t answered for many times already. I hope it’s not any work’s emergency call. If not, I really couldn’t even eat now. When I look at the screen, it’s Asahi. Why does he keep on calling me? I answered the call.

“What?” I asked.

“What are you doing? I’ve been sending you messages since 7 pm. And you saw none of them? I’m pretty sure that you are at a place with a decent internet connection. So why aren’t you looking at my messages at all?” Asahi asked.

“I just finished with my OT, my dear Asahi. I haven’t even eaten any decent meals today and I’m really hungry right now. I couldn’t really look at my phone today. And your messages. Is it urgent?” I asked.

“Ah. I’m sorry. You must’ve been tired and hungry,” Asahi said. “I just want to tell you that I sent you a couple of the photos that I took. Yours and Hyunsuk hyung’s pre wedding photoshoot. I’ve sent the same to Hyunsuk hyung too and he saw it as soon as he received it. Not like you. It’s your pre wedding photos. Aren’t you excited?,”

“We’re not getting married,” I told him. I just pick any of the food displayed because I don’t really want to spend more time thinking about it anymore. I walked toward the cashier and paid for the instant meal that I just bought.

“Come on. Everyone knows that you have liked Hyunsuk hyung since forever,” Asahi said.

“Huh?” I asked. “Everyone?”

“At least I know,” Asahi said. “Like most people might just think that you care about Hyunsuk hyung just in a friendly manner. Like how a little brother cares about their older siblings. But your eyes, it told me otherwise. You love him more than anything,” Asahi said. “You would definitely marry him if you could,”

“You are talking nonsense,” I told him. He’s not exactly wrong but I don’t want to admit it to him.

“You are a coward,” Asahi said. My step stopped right away. “You don’t want to accept the fact that you actually have a feeling toward him. You wanted to keep staying right by his side but were too cowardly to even be honest about your own feelings. Trust me. You’re going to regret it in future,”

“Say whatever you want,” I said while continuing to walk.

“What if I told you that Hyunsuk hyung is seeing someone right now?” Asahi asked.

“Good for him then?” I guessed. But I don’t think that Hyunsuk hyung is currently seeing anyone. Hyunsuk hyung is very busy. He worked almost every day. How could he even see anyone? And whenever he’s free, he spends his time with me. I haven’t seen any trace or hints that he’s seeing anyone.
