“Still haven’t talked to your friend?” Junkyu asked. I turned toward Junkyu who’s copying the document. Recalling the day where I caught a girl coming out from Hyunsuk hyung's apartment, yeah. I haven't really had a decent conversation with Hyunsuk hyung. Hyunsuk hyung asked me if I'm free the very next day. But just being me, I pretended that I'm super busy and couldn't make it to meet him that day. And it has been like 3 days since then? Hyunsuk hyung has been quite busy too with his photography gigs. I miss Hyunsuk hyung. I really wanted to see him and hear his voice. But, yeah. I'm just being a coward and stupid human.

“Why are you concerned about that?” I asked. These days, Junkyu looks like he really cares about me. We have been colleagues for years but he’s not the kind that’s openly announcing that he cares about anyone. He’s definitely not the type that will tell someone directly about their personal problems even if he knows about it. Maybe I’m a little special? Did he like me? But he said that he has a lover, right? Stop dreaming, Park Jihoon.

“Because you’re being too obvious that you’re not in a good mood. You know that many interns are looking up for you because you’re their manager, right? With you being all moody like this, it affects their mood as well,” Junkyu said. “It’s good that you hide your moodiness when you’re attending clients or when we’re in meetings. But your overall mood is just no good. Make up with that friend as soon as possible,”

I looked around. Did my mood really affect the kids I’m currently managing? Last week, the company asked me to manage the intern because they thought that I’ll be a better manager than Junkyu. And because Junkyu himself declined it. I was really impressed that Junkyu can easily decline the order from the company and work as usual. He must’ve been really confident that the company won’t do anything to harm him and his position no matter what he has done.

“How did you finally date your lover? You said that you have a fight with your lover who used to be your friend before because you prioritize your work over them but now you date them,” I asked him. I’m curious about how he can easily date the friend who he has a fight with.

“Easy. We just kiss and make up,” Junkyu asked.

“Huh?!” What did I just hear?

“Me and my lover have been friends for more than 10 years. And we openly showed our affection toward each other. We’re basically unofficially dating for several years. That’s why we did that?” Junkyu said.

“So, you guys are just flirting with each other for years but not making it official?” I asked.

“Yeah. Something like that,” Junkyu said. “Sometimes, we just need to be a little more honest about what we’re feeling. You can start by showing it with your acts if you’re still too afraid to be honest with your words. At least be honest with the way you treated them. Doesn’t mean that you have to kiss him out of nowhere. Just show them that you care about them more than just friends. Little by little. Make sure that they notice it. But if you notice that they’re not comfortable with it, you can stop there and back to treat them as just friends. That means, your friend has no romantic feelings toward you at all and sees you just as a friend. If you still want to keep your relationship as it is, just treat him back as you usually treat them. They’ll not leave you if you did that way,”

“Are you sure?” I asked.

“It worked for me. Because we obviously like each other since the first time our eyes met. And why the hell are you asking me for advice? I’m not even a relationship advisor or something,” Junkyu said. “Just make up with your friend slash crush or whatever and stop showing that you’re moody in this office. At least, as long the interns are still in your care. It will affect their performance too, you know? Because they thought they’re not good enough, that’s why you’re being all moody,”

“Ah. I’ll try to change it,” I said. “Thank you for telling me,”

“It’s okay. It doesn't mean your feelings don't matter. But it’s you being the core of a working environment. So I hope you can be a little more professional. And I know that you’re capable of doing so,” Junkyu said. “Cheer up,”

“Hm,” I nodded. I took out my phone when I heard it ringing. And it's not just some random call. It's from Hyunsuk hyung. I was conflicted as to whether I should answer it or not. But I answered anyway because I wanted to hear Hyunsuk hyung's voice. "Hello?"

"Oh. Jihoon-ah," as always. Just by hearing him calling my name. It just makes my heart flutter. It felt like there's thousands of butterflies flying in my stomach. I didn't hate this feeling. It's a little uncomfortable but a nice feeling. "Are you busy?"

"No. Um. Not really. I can talk. Why?" I asked.

"Oh. I'm just wondering. Where did you buy the pretzels last time?" Hyunsuk hyung asked.

"Why? Is it bad?" I asked. "I've tasted it. It's good though. It taste similar to the one from the bakery near our high school back then,"

"Exactly! It tastes similar, right?! It has been ages. I haven't bought any pretzels  from other stores after the bakery closed because they're not good. But the one you gave me is just perfection. Where did you buy it? I suddenly feel like eating those again," Hyunsuk hyung said.

"Really? It's from Mapo-gu though," I said.

"Wait! Is it from that bakery that went viral a few weeks ago?" Hyunsuk hyung asked.

"Yeah. It's from that bakery," I couldn't help but giggled at Hyunsuk hyung's excitement when he heard that. Well. He did talk about the viral bakery when it first got viral but he couldn't go there because of his work and stuff.

"Why didn't you tell me that you went there? There's a lot of things I wanted to try from that bakery. You know that black pastry with matcha sauce? It looked so pretty. And there's a lot of animation style doughnuts. I really wanted to try those. And I saw a lot of reviews about their strawberry shortcake and cheesecake. Wah. Just thinking about it makes me drool," Hyunsuk hyung said. "Why aren't you telling me that you are going to go there? Tsk. You're lucky that the pretzels tasted good,"

Well. It's because I'm feeling awkward after accidentally confessing to Hyunsuk hyung. I used to tell him where I'm going to go whether it's for working purposes or just hanging out. Because we used to chat via text messages or call a lot before when Hyunsuk hyung is not in any relationships. I wonder if he realized that I rarely called him these days. Maybe he doesn't notice it because he already has someone else he's talking to everyday nowadays.

"I went there for a seminar with Junkyu. And we're lucky that when we reached there the bakery was not crowded and we managed to grab some stuff. If it's crowded, we surely won't even stop by at all because we have work to do right after we come back from the seminar," I told him.

"Ah.. you went there for work," Hyunsuk hyung said. "Wait! Are you sure that you're not busy now?"

"Hm.. I'm currently just putting tagging on the documents. So.. yeah. Not so busy," I said. "Are you not working?"

"I'm doing some editing. I'm really tired. I have a photoshoot schedule everyday these days. Well. It's good for me and my financial status. But, it's hard," Hyunsuk hyung whined. It has been a while since I heard Hyunsuk hyung whining about his works. I miss it a lot. Suddenly I got a notification on my laptop asking if someone from our department is free to go to the Mapo-gu for inspection. I quickly replied to it asking if I could go since I don't have any appointments today. "You've worked hard, hyung. I know you're able to finish everything because you're capable of doing so. I'll buy you meals after you done with your busy period,"

"Really? Alright. I'm looking forward to that," Hyunsuk hyung said. I couldn't even stop myself from smiling just by talking to Hyunsuk hyung right now. Did I look like a fool now? I finally got a greenlight to go to Mapo-gu. They told me that it might take a while for the inspection so they asked me to just go straight home after the inspection. I'll try to go to the bakery if it's still open after I finish the inspection.

"Um, hyung. I need to go now. I have work to do. I'll call you later," I said.

"Promise me that you'll call me?" Hyunsuk hyung asked. Did he notice that I rarely called him these days? I didn't expect that.
