I was currently laying in bed still going over all the memories of the events that occurred the previous night. I'm positive that Charlie really didn't mean what he said to me back at Kayla's house, he couldn't. He's a great guy but I know nothing about him and he knows nothing about me.
Flashback
"I love you." A look of realisation and terror was plastered on his face as if he did something he wasn't suppose to do. "Um...I have to drop you off back at your place" He slowly stood back up and looked down at me with an outstretched arm.
I grabbed his hand and stood up while still analysing what I had just heard. We walked past the empty yet messy house finally reaching my car parked far down the road. He opened the door for me avoiding eye contact the whole time.
We started driving to our destination. I was starting out of the window looking at the trees and and joggers and that's when Charlie spoke up. "I'm sorry" He said still staring at the road. "Don't be, you were in the moment, you were probably just talking without thinking and I was doing the same"
We came to a stop light. He turned his head towards me constantly opening and closing his mouth as if he wanted to say say something with desperation. He then just settled for "I'm glad that you understand".
We started driving again and stayed completely and utterly silence.

I wanted to talk to someone, anyone that would understand what I'm going through. So I called Kayla.
I was praying she was up, I mean the chaos that occurred this morning proved that she was absent because her bedroom was right next door to the guestroom. "Hello?" Kayla said, this time much more calmer then last night. "Hey um...are you busy" there was a pause of silence. "Um" another pause. "No...no no not at all, why what's wrong?" She said sounding uncertain.
"Some shit may or may not have happened between me and Charlie....just stop asking question and come over" I was wondering why she wasn't acting like her usual self.
"Did you guys...ya know?" She said completely ignoring my request. "Kayla! No we did not, just get your ass over here and let me expilan please" She sighed then allowed another pause to enter the conversation. "Ok yeah I'll be right there". She then hung up. Why was she acting so....suspicious?
I waited for her, doing random things like reading and tidying up the room which was odd for me because I never clean. I waited for about an hour which is abnormal because she only lives like ten minutes away but I just decided to shrug it off and not think about it.
