Troy and I are walking around the halls when I spotted the sign up sheet for the winter musical. I walked over and was ready to put both mine and Troy's name when Troy pulled me away from it.
"Come on just one time."
I gave him the face he can't ever say no to and he gave in. So I put our names on the couples sign up sheet. We were about to walk away when Sharpay spotted us.
"Well if it isn't my two favorite people. What are you guys up to?"
"I convinced Troy to audition for the musical with me."
"How did you manage to do that? You normally do a solo audition Chloe."
"I gave him a face that he can't ever say no to. You're not mad that Troy and I are going to audition together are you?"
"No. I'm surprised. But I'm not mad. Besides I can never get mad at you, you're too adorable."
I told Sharpay that we would see her at free period. She walked over and gave me a hug. I turned around with Troys arm around me when I spotted a new girl. She didn't look happy to see that Troy and I are a couple. But I don't care what she thinks. I love Troy and he loves me, we've been friends for as long as I can remember.
The guys might judge Troy for the music thing but he doesn't care about that.
Soon enough it was free period and Tory and I made our way to the theater. My godmother explained what was going to happen. She said that the people doing solo auditions were going first. There was a lot of solo auditions. One girl got scared and ran off the stage. Another one where two people that needed to see a councilor.
After a while it was time for the pairs auditions. Sharpay and Ryan went first. I have to admit they were good. Then it was my turn to sing with Troy. We sang in perfect harmony, I looked at Troy the whole time because Sharpay and Ryan were in the audience watching us.
When we were done singing Sharpay ran in stage and gave me a hug. She knew that singing like that wasn't easy for me. My godmother said that we would have a call back. That made me even more nervous.
We walked out of the theater and headed to the gym. When we got there I changed into my cheer uniform. Troy was in his basket ball uniform. He pulled me in for a kiss and when we broke the kiss I wrapped my arms around his waist.
He put an arm around me and we walked back into the main gym. Troy walked over to the guys and I sat down on the bench. I pulled out my homework to get that out of the way. When I was done I grabbed my notebook and started to come up with some new cheers.
Out of no where Troy came up to me and gave me a kiss. I kissed him back but it did take me by surprise.
"You're all sweaty what do you want?"
"I want to be by my girls side. Now what are you doing?"
"Working on some new cheers for the big game. So far the only thing I have is a stupid hand turkey."
"Come on, I'm pretty sure you just need a little inspiration."
"Yeah. Sure, how do you plan on helping with that Troy? Sorry I'm just hungry and frustrated."
"It's fine."
"What did I ever do to deserve you huh Troy?"
"I should be asking what I did to deserve a girl like you."
"We fell in love."
"That we did."
We went back to the locker rooms and got changed so we could go back home. Not gonna lie school had me tired out today. But lucky for me I have the one person who I love by my side.
When we got back to Troy's house we went into the kitchen to get something to eat. Instead of making something that was premade Troy offered to make us burgers. There was just one problem Troy didn't know how to work the grill. So we had to ask his dad to help us make burgers.
Troy told him that he wanted to make some burgers for me and him but didn't know how to work the grill. His dad thought that was sweet of him to do, so his dad showed him how to use the grill.
Troy told me to go wait inside and pick out a movie for us to watch. It was no surprise to him that I picked beauty and the beast. After all it is one of my favorite movies to watch. He says he doesn't like that movie. But I know that he secretly loves it.
When the food was done I helped him get the stuff for our burgers out of the fridge. He grabbed the chips that he knows I like. I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek and he pulled me in for a hug.
"Hey, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it Troy."
"It's clearly not nothing if you're upset. You can tell me anything you know that."
"It's just..."
"Hey, Troy can you come help me clean off the grill."
"Yeah, give me a sec dad."
"Go, I'll tell you later."
"No he can wait. Tell me what's going on."
"You know about what happened because Chad told you. I'm just worried that you're going to look at me differently now."
"Hey, look at me. I would never look at you any differently than I do right now. Did what chad told me scare me? Yes. But that doesn't change how I feel about you. You know why?"
I just shook my head no at him and he pulled me onto his lap.
"It's doesn't change how I feel because I love you. I love you so much Chloe. Don't ever think that what happened to you will change how I feel about you."
"I love you too Troy."
Little did I know that Troy's dad was watching the whole thing between us unfold. He didn't call for Troy again after that one time.
After we finished eating we cleaned up everything and got changed so we could go to bed. But not before I get the injections in my back.
When all was said and done we went to bed cuddled up next to each other.
