"There are three types of lies -- lies, damn lies, and statistic"

Benjamin Disraeli

Indigo/Nyx

When we got off the plane, it was already night, I didn't know that Daniel had taken care of everything and prepared the car to pick us up. To be honest, I thought we'll go to the hotel where I booked a room, but as it turned out, Daniel brought us to the apartment he rented for three weeks. I didn't plan to stay in Canada for so long, but I also didn't know how long it would take to find information. All this time, we were talking about neutral topics. We could joke, laugh, fight, and be back to normal. Daniel always gave in to me, even though he knew I wasn't happy about it.

"There are two rooms here, but my door is always open for you." We were standing in a small apartment with bags in our hands. It looked as if Daniel had designed the apartment himself. Dark colors were his calling card. A crooked smile did not leave his face while he was carrying my bags. The apartment was located in Montreal, in the downtown, near the Old Port. Real estate here was very expensive, but the view from the window, on the troubled water was worth the money. I came to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water. The glass was at the top, so I stood on my toes to get it, but my small stature did not quite allow me to reach it. Suddenly I felt Daniel's presence behind my back, he rested his body and his hard cock on my back and ass, stretching out his long arm and getting me a glass.

"Ahem, thank you." I just mumbled a little embarrassed. Where the embarrassment came from? We saw each other completely naked, such moments should not have confused me anymore.

"I'm glad to try." I turned to face Daniel and rested my back against the countertop. The wide kitchen suddenly became a small room in which Daniel and I did not have enough space.

"I know you're mad at me." The man in front of me ran his tongue over his front teeth, gathering his thoughts. I let go of my gaze, not wanting to look at him. I wasn't mad at Daniel, I was disappointed. "It's just that if there's any way I can fix our relationship with you, I'd love to try." I furrowed my brows and narrowed my eyes.

"Relationship? We don't have a relationship, you and I work together. We had sex, twice. But that doesn't mean I'm going to build a relationship with you." The soft expression on his face was immediately replaced by a murderous one. His pupils dilated, and his eye color became darker. A cruel grin blossomed on his lips. With this smile, it was possible to cut, it was possible to kill enemies in seconds, so sharp was his facial features. Daniel has his hands on either side of me, leaning towards me. The ends of our noses touched, and at the same moment, we looked at each other's lips.

"You can calm yourself with this phrase as much as you want. But we know perfectly well that from the very first day when you jumped into my car. Jumped into an absolute stranger's car when I said you weren't my type, and when you left me barefoot. From that very day, it was clear as a summer day that we were made for each other." Daniel could speak very beautifully, and I would have believed him if it hadn't been for that conversation with Atlas that I overheard last night. "Talk to me." Daniel's voice was softer this time, he asked me to surrender to him. And the temptation was too great, he grabbed both my cheeks in his big warm hands, looking hopefully into my eyes.

"Tell me you're not using me to get to my brother. Tell me that you didn't plan to make me fall in love with you so that you could then give my broken heart to Alistair's hands. Please tell me that none of this is true. That your intentions about me are pure." Tears have accumulated in the corner of my eyes. The words were sickly bitter on the tongue. As soon as I said that, Daniel took a step back, looking at me in a completely different way. Regret was written in his every move. I shook my head, laughing sadly. "You don't need to say anything, I already know it." I was leaving him again, leaving him alone with himself.
