"That's ridiculous. The only point in having enemies is, so you can defeat them, kill them, brush them aside"

Present Days

A second chance is an opportunity you missed. The second chance is when you doubt you are lucky, or you are mistaken and in fact, it is a trap. In my case, a second chance is a miracle, because I never need a second chance. Everything I've ever done worked out from the very first time. And yet, somehow life decided to laugh at me by implicating a girl. Yes, exactly the girl. The girl that I was lucky enough to meet in my car. And somehow she turns out to be the sister of my rival if not my enemy. When she walked into the conference room, I couldn't believe my eyes. For the first couple of minutes, I just stared at her. But when she spoke in her firm voice, showing no affection about what happened last night, I switched my gaze to her brother. I couldn't help but notice how much they look alike, despite the obvious age difference.

Both have black hair, dark eyes, and scarlet lips, pale skin that has not seen the sun for a long time. Although, you can see that her brother is more tanned than the girl herself. She is much shorter than her brother, although she remains tall enough for a girl. Long hair curls in waves on her shoulders, reaching to the waist. As soon as Indigo crossed the threshold of my office, the smell of coconut and grapefruit hit my nose. Her delicate facial features did not allow my gaze to move from her face. Her brother certainly noticed the strangeness in our behavior. But how can I blame him when I find my own behavior inexplicable? Indigo is dressed in an elegant black dress that matches her brother's dark suit. Remembering her impudent behavior yesterday, she took after her brother in character. I am mentally smiling when I realize that I will work very closely with her. Her brother must be going crazy at the thought, but I'm just glad of it. The Silver family is uncharted territory for me, which means it is a danger.

" Let me introduce you to the rest of the co-workers." Smiling broadly, I walk past her with a wink, to which she responds with a murderous look. Bloody girl. But I enjoy it. Too much for my own sake. " Saffron Goodin, our customer, as you already know. Mrs. Lya Romero, the representative of the Italian family" Lya is Mariano's granddaughter, the only survivor after the massacre five years ago, where all her family was killed, but her and her grandfather Nico. Now Lya has to be the head of the Romero crime family, but only after she gets married. She just nodded in the direction of Silvers. As soon as I took a seat at the head of the table, I introduced the rest of the employees with whom we would have to work, including my assistant.

"I expected that we would discuss work, and not arrange a circle of new acquaintances." Alistair really is a bastard, it's not that I mind measuring our dicks. But I'm glad that my behavior regarding his sister has knocked him out so much.

" Of course, you're right, partner." I can feel on my skin how he despises being my partner. Even though I can't read anything in his face.

Everyone else got that a conflict is brewing, so Mr. Goodie decided to take the situation into his own hands.

" So let's come to a work plan" At the exact moment we gathered and put our hatred aside to discuss how the work would go forward.

Surprisingly, everything was going well until we moved on to my joint work with Indigo.

" No, she will work with her team in her office and pass the information to you through her assistant."

" I can't work like this. If we work like this, we will waste a lot of time. I don't think Mr. Goodie will be happy about this prospect". For more drama, I looked into his eyes, expecting support from him. It's good that he didn't disappoint me.
