Oh shit, I fucking messed up.
My phone buzzed again for the 15th time in this hour. That notification noise felt like the bells tolling for me. Each time it rang I wanted to throw my phone across the room, but this phone cost a lot of money.
So it sat on my car seat as I leaned my head against the driver's wheel. I didn't even feel safe in my own house anymore so I drove out to the beach. I always felt watched and never felt comfortable, even at work.
Recently at the cafe, I've been hiding in the back instead of serving consumers. I would cook and organize the inventory trying my best to avoid being seen.
It didn't help that the whole cafe was filled with Jojo characters idly sitting and enjoying the environment. My shop became a hot spot for them, every day someone would ask for me by name and my employees would say I was busy.
It was weird and worrying behavior. Especially the gifts, I think they were thanking me for my housewarming gifts. I didn't know, all I knew is that the gifts were much more expensive. It made me feel undeserving.
The villain's house, as I found out the rest of the antagonists lived with Kira, gave me the most expensive items. The first of which was a very nice handwritten note with all of their phone numbers. It was a very sweet and professional note as it was written by Kira, he listed off every gift and who was gifting them, not wanting me to get confused apparently.
Dear (Name)
I wanted to thank you for the housewarming gift. It was a very sweet and warm welcome to the neighborhood. So I had me and my roommates make a thank-you gift. Please try not to get offended by some of the gifts given, my roommates are what you'd call "eccentric"
I got the you "La Mer" hand cream. Not that your hands aren't perfect as they are, it's just important to take care of something you use every day. My friend Kars, a nature freak, put some fruit he dried himself. He said it's his personal favorite threat. The doctor in our house decided to give you some vitamins, he says that they improve overall health and bowel movements. His name is Tooru, he's a bit of a loner so please don't take any offense. Doppio and Diavolo, two brothers I assume, got you two matching pink and red bracelets. They're not very social along with being awkward so excuse them for their strange behavior as well. Dio Brando wanted to express his gratitude by giving you a signed copy of Dracula by Bram Stoker. He says the book is very interesting and don't ask me where he got it, I have no idea. Pucci, a priest, sends his thanks along with Dio's with a selection of fruit. This time it wasn't dried but fresh. Our last roommate decides to gift you a bundle of pink lilies. His name is Valentine, no correlation to the holiday. He says he already pruned and cut the ends, so all you need to do is place them in water.
Now, I've placed all of their phone numbers on the back of this letter. If you ever need help from any of us please contact us. We deeply appreciate you welcoming us to the neighborhood and we'll try to repay you in any way we can.
Kind regards, Yoshikage Kira.
All of the items seemed mostly normal, but when I checked where they bought them from. I came to the realization most of the items were over 100 dollars. I mean where do you even find a 100-dollar hand cream?
The other gifts were weirder than expensive.
The second basket was from the Joestars. It had an embroidered handkerchief, homemade cookies, a signed copy of a marine biology paper by Jotaro Kujo, a free coupon to Tonios, some strawberry shots, a tacky mug with horses all over it, and a Mitsudango dumpling set.
