The line of pillows we had placed between us in bed wasn't shielding his face from me as he slept soundly. The morning light drifted through the blinds, and for the first time in a while, I didn't have anywhere to be this Sunday morning. We had the day off. A well-needed day off.

Debut was one week away, and we were all buzzing with nerves, but right now, as I stared at Hanbin's sleepy face, I felt a sense of belonging. I was at ease today, and I knew we had done everything in our power to prepare for a killer debut.

Hanbin snored a little bit, and it was the cutest thing I had ever heard. Like a little mouse talking. I couldn't help it; I started giggling, and I quickly slapped my hand in front of my mouth as he woke with a low snort. He shook his head like a dog, and for a moment, I watched him be disoriented, but then his eyes, which were still half-closed from sleep, found me, and I saw his face light up.

"What are you giggling about?" he laughed and threw one of the pillows at my face. I easily evaded it and gave him a loud, "Hey!"

Someone knocked on our door. "Hey, lovebirds! Wake up! We are going to Dom Chow's for breakfast in half an hour!" It was Matthew's voice.

My stomach growled just thinking about it, and as if they were having a full-on conversation, Hanbin's stomach growled too.

We both snorted at that, and we both rose from the bed.

Our breakfast at Dom Chow's was absolutely perfect. It hadn't happened yet, but all eighteen of us had gathered for this special occasion. His entire dining area had been filled with just us and his usual array of clients—the elderly couple and the younger one. The atmosphere was lively, filled with laughter, jokes, and endless banter.

With full stomachs and loud voices, half of us returned to the penthouse. When we arrived at our floor, I immediately noticed a large pink package sitting in front of our front door.

"What is that?" Jisoo asked as she approached the package. "Allison, it's for you. I think it's from a fan!"

I smiled, finding it entirely endearing. Our doorman must have received it downstairs and left it here for me to find.

Hanbin and Jiwoong lingered behind me as I approached. Gio and Gunwook were here too, leaning against the left wall near the elevator.

I ripped the package open, ready to find whatever it was my fan had sent me. The entire package was filled with colorful little sprinkles and hearts, but there was a weird smell. I rummaged through it, crinkling my nose at the strange odor. My fingers touched something wet, and I squealed as I stepped back, my heart in my throat.

It stared at me from within the box. My heart was about to beat out of my chest.

Cold.

Wet and slimy.
