My heart pounded in my chest as I stood outside Hannah's office, bracing myself for the confrontation that awaited me. The tension was palpable, a thick cloud of resentment and anger hovering in the air.
Taking a deep breath, I pushed open the door and entered her office. Hannah looked up, a mixture of surprise and disdain evident on her face.
"What do you want, Yujin?" she sneered, her voice dripping with malice. She didn't even try to hide her disgust with me. She had always liked me in the beginning, but after a while, since I became more vocal about her antics regarding Choonhae's weight, it started to turn.
I met her gaze, my eyes burning with determination. "I'm here to talk about Choonhae."
A flicker of unease flashed across her eyes, but she quickly composed herself. "I have no idea why you want to talk about her. You're just trying to stir up trouble, aren't you?"
I chuckled bitterly, the sound laced with frustration. "Oh, I think you know exactly what I'm talking about. It needs to stop, Hannah. I know what you told her last week. Right as she was progressing and her therapist had given her the all clear, you decided to tell her again to lose weight?"
Choonhae meant the world to me, and I would not let this witch of a woman destroy that beautiful soul.
Hannah's facade cracked for a moment, her composure slipping. "It's Miss Park to you, and you have no proof," she hissed, her voice tinged with desperation.
"And what about Giovanna," I continued. I would blow this up, even if it cost me my job. I would because it was the right thing to do.
No more being afraid of this witch.
I might be the youngest of the group, but I will not be silent in this. Not when Choonhae's safety was at stake. I would choose her over all of it, any day of the week. She was everything good about my world, and I would sit here and take the damn bullet.
"What about, Giovanna?" Hannah sneered. "You are walking on thin ice here, Yujin. I suggest you stop speaking now."
"Why?" I said.
"Why?" she scoffed. "Because I'm your goddamn boss, and I tell you too! Now get the fuck out of my office, you insubordinate little shit."
"So you do not deny it? Using poor Gio to spy on us for you? Telling Choonhae to lose weight? Manipulating and bullying Allison? And Lux... she didn't deserve any of this either!"
"Giovanna should have been smarter, Choonhae is too fat for an idol, and Lux isn't an idol and should never be one again. Regarding Allison, that girl should stick to modeling. I don't even know why she is as popular as she is with the fans! She has no talent!" Hannah was losing her shit, rising from her seat to shout at me.
"And what are you going to do about it, Yujin?"
A smile tugged at the corner of my lips as I reached into my pocket, producing my phone from my pocket, live streaming to my million followers on the Zerobaseone official Instagram account.
"I think I have enough evidence to do something about it now, Miss Park."
Fear danced in Hannah's eyes as I showed her the screen. It had been recording for the last ten minutes and had caught every word from her poisonous lips. The view count was over 500K of Zerose watching it live.
The room was still filled with the damning words she had spoken. Confessions had spilled forth, revealing the depths of her manipulation and cruelty. Gio's involvement, Choonhae's struggles, and the torment inflicted upon Allison were all laid bare for the world to see.
But I wasn't content with merely collecting evidence. As the phone continued to live stream, I had ensured Hannah's confession would reach a broad audience—one that couldn't be silenced.
"I hope you enjoy our next show from the sidelines, Hannah," I said, a glimmer of satisfaction in my voice. "The truth is finally out there."
Her face contorted with rage and panic, but there was no escape for her now. The comments on the live stream poured in, a chorus of shock and outrage. Our fans, our Zerose, the people who had supported us, deserved to know the truth.
Hannah, unable to maintain her composure, lashed out at me. "You think you can ruin me? You're nothing without me! They'll turn against you too!"
I stood my ground, my voice firm. "No, Hannah. We are stronger than you ever gave us credit for. And now, the world will see who you really are."
As the broadcast continued, I watched as the walls of Hannah's carefully constructed empire crumbled around her. Her power over us was shattered, replaced by a newfound strength—the strength of unity and truth.
One by one, comments streamed in, their united voices filled with anger and hurt.
'How could you do this to them? We trusted you!'
'You tried to destroy their happiness, but we won't let you. We will rise above this!'
'They deserve better.'
'Justice for Gio!'
The comments section overflowed with messages of support, empowering words from fans who had also experienced pain and betrayal. Together, we stood firm, united against the forces that sought to break us.
At that moment, I knew we had taken a stand against the darkness that had haunted us for far too long. The road ahead would be challenging, but we were no longer alone. Together, we would heal, grow, and reclaim our identities.
As the live stream drew to a close, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. The weight of secrecy had been lifted, replaced by the hope of a brighter future. And as the comments section overflowed with messages of support, I knew that we had made a difference—not just for ourselves but for others who had endured similar hardships in the K-pop industry.
I stepped out of Hannah's office, ready to face whatever lay ahead. We had survived the storm, and now, we would thrive in the light of the truth.
