The news hit me like a tidal wave, crashing against the walls of my world. My father, the man I had idolized and admired, was caught up in a scandal that threatened not only his reputation but also my upcoming debut as Zerobaseone. The weight of disappointment and shame settled heavily on my shoulders, threatening to crush my spirit.

As whispers of my father's maltreatment of his employees spread throughout the industry, I found myself struggling to process the truth. How could the man I loved and respected be capable of such actions? The trust I had placed in him shattered, leaving behind a gaping void in my heart.

I felt sick.

This wasn't happening and couldn't be happening!

Hannah had already talked to Allison yesterday, telling her if this wasn't going to go away before debut. I would be the one that would be going away...

In the midst of the chaos, I sought the support of my fellow group members. Matthew, with his gentle nature and kind words, became my anchor in the storm. He understood the pain and confusion, offering a listening ear and a comforting presence when I needed it most.

One evening, as the sun set, casting long shadows across the practice room, I sought Matthew's company. We sat together, our backs against the mirrored wall of the studio, the weight of the situation hanging heavy in the air.

"I never thought this would happen," I murmured, my voice filled with a mix of sadness and frustration. "I always believed in my father, but now..."

Matthew's gaze was filled with empathy, his voice laced with understanding. "I can't imagine how difficult this is for you. Your father's actions reflect on you, but remember, you are not defined by his mistakes."

Tears welled up in my eyes, threatening to spill over, as the realization of the consequences washed over me. "I'm scared, Matthew. Scared of how this scandal will affect our debut, our dreams."

Matthew reached out and gently grasped my trembling hand, offering reassurance. "We are a team, Billie. We'll face this together, supporting each other through the highs and lows. We'll come out stronger, no matter what."

But amidst the comforting presence of Matthew, one person's absence consumed my every thought.

"Where the fuck is Keita these days?" I asked, my voice tinged with a mix of anger, hurt, and disappointment.

Matthew's expression grew solemn, and he sighed. "I don't know, Billie. He's been distant lately, lost in his own thoughts. I've tried reaching out, but he's been avoiding us."

My heart sank at the mention of Keita's distance. The bond we had formed, the connection I thought we shared, was unraveling before my eyes. In the midst of our group's turmoil, his absence felt like a betrayal, leaving me to navigate the storm without his presence.

I couldn't believe how far this things has gone now. No contact for three weeks was a long time for a friendship like ours.

I had really believed we would be able to overcome anything.

But I guess, even the best of friendships... fall.
