"Hey Sam, wait up! " Tatum said as she tried to catch up with the brunette. " I've decided to temporarily assist you in your investigation. " Dewey told the couple while standing next to his daughter , holding her hand before letting go so she could go see her friends.
"Hey Wes Wes and livi poo! And the rest of you" Tatum said walking into the Meeks Martin home while making it clear she liked Wes and Liv more than all the others but everyone had already assumed her favoritism.
"You told me to bring everyone." Mindy said as she entered the room with Sam,Richie and Dewey woke Tatum sat down next to Wes and Liv. Her best friends, a little known fact to everyone, was that Tatum had introduced Liv and Chad to each other in junior year, which Tatum was very proud of and made sure everyone knew about her marvelous match making skills.
Liv and Tatum knew each other prior to Liv joining the group from Dewey arresting Liv for drinking at a party back when Dewey was sheriff in sophomore year.
To no surprise the two had been friends ever since the moment Liv was dragged into her father's cop car .
"Hey babe. '' Tatum said to Liv just to make Chad and Wes flinch causing the two girls to chuckle at the reactions of the boys.
"Ooh suspects my brother would be so proud!" Martha Meeks also known as Chad and Mindy's mom said as she entered the room with a tray full of snacks. "Hey Mrs.Meeks!" Tatum said as she grabbed a cucumber from the tray.
"If you're here Tatum that must mean your fathers nearby, especially in this situation. " Mrs.Meeks said as she looked for Dewey eventually finding him looking at the shrine of her brother Randy, one of Dewey's old friends."hey Martha! " Dewey said as he hugged his old family friend. "Do you guys want to come over tomorrow? " Tatum asked her friends
"sure" everyone answered "Tatum who said you could have your friends over. " Dewey asked the girl strictly "I did" Tatum said confidently, causing her father to chuckle lightly. "Okay you kids have fun now! " Mrs Meeks said as she exited the room.
"I have to tell you guys something. " Sam said before she began to explain how Billy Loomis, the original ghost face, was her father and how the killer was most likely to be in the friend group. "You really think it's one of us?" Chad asked as Sam sat down. "Historically speaking, at least one
of the killers was from the friend
group 75% of the time." Dewey said helping everyone understand. "But me being the killer is off the table right?"Tatum asked,
"sadly not Tatum." Mindy answered. "Do you not know who my parents are! " Tatum told Mindy "you already played that card honey. And that would be the perfect motive. " Mindy said to Tatum causing her to mouth "fuck" while her head fell back onto the couch. Anyways, that makes sense Mr.Riley... We all know Tara, we all left the bar right after Vince did, anyone of us could have killed him. " Mindy agreed with Tatum's father. "But the killer said he knew my secret about Billy. I think he attacked Tara to lure me back here" Sam said, informing the group of her suspicions. "So?" Chad said back . "So why then immediately go murder some guy who was stalking Liv?" Sam said back "what about deputy Dewey here he could be the killer? No Offense. " Wes said "none taken. But what would be my motive?"Dewey asked Wes."You got stabbed a billion times, got dumped by your famous wife and crawled into a bottle. I think it's safe to say you make the suspect list." Wes accused Dewey.
"Stupidity leak!" Tatum said as she jabbed Wes with her elbow in defense to her father. "Well maybe you're the killer cause that really hurt. "Dewey said back to Wes. "Um... Vince is not unconnected. " Amber said as she stared at her phone. "I Googled him. His Mom is Leslie Macher, Stu Macher's sister." Amber continued. "Who's Stu Macher?" Liv asked the people surrounding her. Billy Loomis' accomplice, Liv, try and keep up." Mindy said to antagonize Liv causing her to flip Mindy the finger." So the first three attacks are all

all they're talking about how Stab 8 pisses on their childhood, how there's no connection to the original films, how the main character's a Mary Sue" Mindy explained. "What's a Mary Sue? " Richie asked "you don't wanna know. " Wes answered desperately.

To some, the original's their favorite thing in the world - the movie that made them love horror, that opened up a whole new world, that Mom or Dad showed them when they were ten that bonded them together. And God help anyone who slightly fucks with that special memory, who makes a movie they think disrespects it.It sounds like our killer's writing his own version of Stab 8, but doing it as a re-quel." Mindy ranted
"which is?" Dewey asked, making Tatum Lesnar her head back in exhaustion and Mindy to get off the chair and onto her feet. "See, you can't just reboot a franchise from scratch anymore, Fans won't stand for it. Black Christmas, Child's Play, Flatliners Thatshit doesn't work. But you can't just do a straight sequel, either you gotta build something new, but not too new, or the Internet goes bug fucking nuts. It's gotta be part of an ongoing story, even if the story shouldn't have been ongoing in the first place. New main characters, yes, but supported by and related to legacy characters. Not quite a reboot, not quite a sequel. Like the new Halloween, Saw, Terminator, Jurassic Park, Ghostbusters, fuck, even Star Wars. It always goes
back to the original." Mindy ranted happily. Staring terrified at Mindy Sam says
"Are you telling me I'm caught in the middle of fan-fucking-fiction?!" Sam said in disbelief. "Not just in the middle. You're the star." Mindy said in a non reassuring tone . "So, not to put too fine a point on it, but according to re-quel rules... who's next?" Amber asked Mindy. "Going by the pattern, whoever it is has to be connected to someone that came before." Mindy informed the group. "I'm starting to regret coming here." Dewey quietly said to himself. "My mom was a character in stab 4." Wes said with worry in his voice. Nobody cares about the inferior shitty sequels, Wes, you're safe.With Randy as our Uncle, though, you and I are probably screwed."Mindy said to Chad. "Wait, what about me!? " Tatum asked with even more fear in her voice than Wes.
"Yea Tate with both your parents being legacies you're practically a dead girl walking." Mindy told Tatum "Well that's nice. " Tatum said sarcastically. "Or... one or both of you are the killer, and this elaborate monologue is just bullshit to cover your tracks." Richie accused Tatum and Mindy causing them to roll their eyes. "Please, I think it's pretty clear who the killer is at this point..." said as she moved her line of sight towards Sam "who?" Sam said courisly.
"You.i mean obviously! " Mindy accused sam"excuse me. " Sam said angerly. "You're Billy Loomis's daughter! Who better to inherit the mantle and carry the series forward? You hurt Tara but don't kill her, which gives you a reason to come back to Woodsboro and go on your rampage, getting revenge on the town for the death of your father. It makes perfect sense!" Mindy said making her accusations make more sense
"it does actually. " Chad agreed with his sister while Liv nodded. Sam looks around the room trying to find someone to disagree with her but no one did. "Sorry I don't make the rules." Mindy said to Sam, causing her to get up and exit the Meeks-Martin home
"You know, Randy may have accused us all of being the killer too, but he was a lot nicer about it." Dewey said before motioning to Tatum to follow her before exiting after Sam "peace out guys.hopefully this isn't the last time I see you guys but just in case love you guys.Oo and good luck! " Tatum said before exiting the room "love you too Tate! " Everyone called out to Tatum in unison. "Where do you wanna go kid? " Dewey asked the brunette as they got into the car "home." Tatum answered back. "You sure." Dewey asked his daughter "yea I gotta prepare for my death. " Tatum said sarcastically as her dad laughed lightly while he pulled out of the driveway and set towards home.
