TW: This chapter starts to describe the trafficking ring that Olivia and Elliot are investigating. I'm not planning on doing a ton of detail, but if you are uncomfortable with this topic, this would be the place to stop.
A few days later, Olivia woke up to a ding on her laptop. She had fallen asleep at the kitchen table, and the ding notified her that something had triggered a camera outside. Olivia quickly opened the notification, but she saw nothing. When she played back the video, she noticed someone in all black slip an envelope into the mailbox at the end of their driveway.
"El," Olivia whispered, as she walked into the bedroom she was technically supposed to share with Elliot. He rolled over and squinted as he eyed Olivia.
"What's wrong?" His voice was full of sleep and deeper than usual.
"Someone put an envelope into our mailbox. A camera was triggered, but I couldn't make out who it was," Olivia replied. Elliot nodded and pushed himself up, before rubbing his eyes with closed fists.
"Do you want me to look at it tonight, or can it wait for the morning?"
"I-i think it can wait... I don't want them to see me running out there to grab the envelope, when they don't even know we have cameras outside," Olivia replied, as she played with the hem of her faded band tee.
Elliot yawned, before stretching his arms above his head.
"Okay, then go to bed. We can pretend that we didn't even know about it. Check the mail as usual tomorrow afternoon."
Olivia nodded and turned to leave the room, but stopped when Elliot breathed her name.
"Yeah?"
"Grab your pillow and sleep up here tonight. I know it isn't your turn, but you look exhausted."
"El-"
"I won't try anything, so you better not either," Elliot smiled. Olivia nodded before awkwardly turning and leaving the room.

Elliot was home the next day, so he and Olivia went for a casual jog around the neighborhood. They stopped a few times to put on a PDA show for those watching, a few hugs or a quick peck to each other's lips. Then they stopped to get the mail.
"Hey, looks like we got something," Elliot spoke, as he carried the envelope to where Olivia stood. She wrapped an arm around his back and looked at the black envelope. Elliot opened it, and on the flap it gave a warning to only look at the contents in private.
"Let's go inside. I need something to drink," Olivia breathed. Elliot looked at her before grabbing her hand and leading her inside.
As soon as they got inside, Elliot called Fin. He put him on speakerphone, before moving to where Olivia was handling the envelope with gloves. Elliot had touched it, but she wasn't too worried about his fingerprints.
"Alright, I'm watching from the camera in your kitchen. Olivia, make sure to keep your head stable so I can pull clear pictures of everything later," Fin spoke.
"Yes, sir," Olivia replied plainly.
Inside the envelope was an invitation to join Oscar and Linda at midnight for a meeting. 'A and D' were supposed to wear all black and to leave their phones at home. To inform them they had arrived, they were supposed to knock in a certain pattern on the side door into the garage and Oscar would retrieve them.
After that, there was no additional information, and Olivia felt sick to her stomach. This wasn't going to be some little meeting if it was completely secretive.
"Do they seem to trust you?" Fin asked, as Olivia kept staring at the instructions.
"Yeah, I think so. Oscar and I have talked a few times this weekend, and Linda just loves Liv. It didn't take that long for them to accept us," Elliot replied.
"Wear your necklace, and Olivia, keep your glasses on."
"Do you think we are almost done?" Olivia asked, her voice shaking.
"No, I don't think so. We have to keep things moving, and once we reach the top... then we shut it down. Keep up the good work."
Elliot looked at Olivia before stepping close and pulling her into a tight hug. Olivia rested her head against his broad shoulder before sighing softly.
"I miss my mom," Olivia whispered.
"Are you two doing better?" Elliot asked as he rubbed Olivia's back.
"Yeah, we are. We spend more time together and are trying to build a strong relationship... I just hope that going undercover won't fuck up all the progress we made," Olivia sighed. She leaned back to look at Elliot and saw a completely different person look at her.
When they were together, he wasn't the best. He was a big dick to her and made her feel like crap all the time. But he has clearly grown up, and now he looked at Olivia in a way that made her feel special. He cared about her, and was worried about her wellbeing during the investigation.
"I'm going to pick out something to wear tonight... Do you want me to find you something?" Olivia asked, as Elliot's hands slipped down to her lower back. She waited for him to grab her ass like he used to do when they were dating, instead he just pulled her a little closer.
"I don't know if I packed anything black. I might have to borrow one of your dresses or something," Elliot grinned. Olivia smacked his chest and stepped out of his arms.
"Maybe you can wear one of my thongs and a bra," Olivia shot back.

At midnight, Olivia and Elliot locked up their house and walked across the street. At the side door to the Stevenson's garage, Elliot held Olivia's hand and used his free hand to do the special knock.
"One, wait. Two, wait. Four," Olivia instructed. Elliot did as told, and a moment later, the door opened. They hesitantly stepped into the dimly lit garage. Oscar stood there and smiled.
"I'm glad you two decided to come. I hate to do this, but I need to make sure you aren't carrying any weapons. Step apart."
Elliot let Oscar pat him down first and kept a close eye on him as he patted down Olivia. Once he was happy with the results, Oscar led them to where a large storage unit had been pushed to the side and a door was revealed.
"Alice. Danny. Head down, I'm following," Oscar spoke.
Olivia and Elliot both swallowed hard before taking the stairs slowly. At the bottom, they were led into a room that was decorated like a normal basement. Linda stood and hurried to them before hugging Olivia tightly.
"I knew you two would help! As a young couple, I knew you two would need extra income, especially if you want to start a family."
"Linda, what do you need help with?" Olivia asked nervously, as Elliot grabbed her hand.
"We have a minor operation and we need some assistance. Alice, you will help me here and Danny will help Oscar. Now, to show you what we need help to transport."
A door was unlocked on the far side of the room that went directly under the house. Olivia followed Linda into the room and felt like she was going to throw up.
The room directly in front of the door had at least ten beds that were occupied by a bunch of girls.
"We need help to move these girls to another location, and then another batch will come in," Linda explained quietly. Olivia looked at her before seeing a curtain over another wall.
"What's in there?" Olivia whispered. Linda sighed as she moved the curtain to the side.
"These girls got knocked up and I'm just waiting for instruction on what do with them. Stupid girls," Linda grumbled.
