It was after midnight when Stephanie finally got Olivia home and dismissed Aiden's babysitter. After they both checked on Aiden, Stephanie helped Olivia change into her pajamas and then they laid together in her bed.
"How was he?" Stephanie asked as Olivia kept her hand on the angry bruise on her right side.
"He's lost, Steph. He kept saying that Kathy was going to take Maureen from him and he asked if I was there to arrest him," Olivia replied with a frown.
"What are you going to do?" Stephanie asked softly.
"What do you mean?"
"Are you going to have Elliot move in here? He'll never be able to go home and he needs the love that only you can supply," Stephanie yawned.
Olivia rolled onto her back and took a shaky breath as she thought about living with Elliot again and having him be around for Aiden. How she'd be able to help him raise Maureen once she's born.
"Maybe I should start thinking about him moving in..." Olivia trailed off as her friend snored beside her.

Olivia went back to the hospital the next morning and was given directions to Elliot's new room. He had been admitted and would be staying for a few more days until they knew he'd be okay. As Olivia opened the door, Elliot was stumbling from the bathroom with the help of a nurse.
"May I help you?" The nurse asked as Olivia tugged on the strap of Aiden's diaper bag.
"I'm here for Elliot," Olivia replied, as Elliot turned to look at her.
"You brought Aiden," Elliot said with a weak smile.
"Of course I did, El. I thought he might cheer you up," Olivia replied.
Once the nurse got Elliot situated in bed, Olivia walked over and kissed his forehead before getting Aiden from his carrier. The little boy yawned and stretched before resting his head against his mother's shoulder.
"How are you doing?" Olivia asked as she rubbed Aiden's back until he was ready to go to his father.
"A few detectives came to see me and they asked me all sorts of questions. Kathy is lying through her teeth about the situation," Elliot sighed.
"They know that she's lying, El. She'll go to jail and she won't be out for a while," Olivia replied.
Elliot frowned deeply as he looked down at his hands. He hated himself for letting it get this far, especially since now he'd be alone.
"Kathy is going to have her mother take the baby after she's born," Elliot spoke, as Olivia started to sway in her spot.
"Why do you think that?" Olivia replied.
"Doesn't she still have the right to decide who gets to raise her daughter?"
"It is your daughter as well, Elliot. I'll make sure you get her, and not Kathy's mother," Olivia replied. Elliot nodded slowly as he fought off tears.
"I'm going to have to find a new place to live. My apartment is far from home anymore," Elliot sighed.
"I can move all of your stuff from your apartment and into mine," Olivia spoke, as Aiden yawned loudly and wrapped his chubby hand around a lock of Olivia's hair.
"Why?"
"You deserve to experience a love that isn't masked by the pain of domestic violence. So you and Maureen will have a safe place to live."
///
Olivia smiled softly as she and Elliot walked into their apartment a month after the attack. Laying in Elliot's good arm was Maureen, who was born in jail to a mother serving ten years for shooting Olivia and an additional ten years for the domestic violence and attempted murder of Elliot. By the time she leaves prison, Maureen will be in her second year of college and Kathy won't be able to try to steal custody of her.
"It's weird to be bringing her home," Elliot spoke, as Olivia shut their front door and locked it.
"Home in general or back here?" Olivia asked.
"I could have died, Liv. Being able to hold my daughter in my arms and bring her home is a miracle," Elliot admitted. Olivia stepped closer to Elliot before placing a kiss on his lips. They started dating again once Elliot was released from the hospital and moved in with Olivia.
"You are going to be an amazing father to this little girl and her big brother," Olivia breathed.
"I have two kids," Elliot said with a weak smile.
"Yes, you do. Just remember that you don't have to raise them alone, especially since Aiden is my baby," Olivia laughed softly.
"When were you going to tell me you mothered my son?" Elliot teased.
///
A few years after Maureen was born, Elliot and Olivia stood together and watched as their toddlers played in the living room of their new home. From where their story began, a lot of therapy was completed and lots of tears were shed. Elliot and Olivia worked hard to work through the problems that broke them up a few times before. Now parents to a two-year-old, a three-year-old, and newborn twins, they hadn't been happier before.
"I'm going to miss them being this small," Elliot spoke, as he wrapped an arm around Olivia's waist and tugged her close.
"Me too, but it gets more fun as they get older. I personally cannot wait for the twins to sleep through the night," Olivia laughed softly, as she grabbed Elliot's hand and dragged him to the bassinet where their sons slept.
Elliot reached in and gently placed his hand across both of their chests. Olivia's pregnancy with the twins went smoother than her pregnancy with Aiden. Arlo and Henry were surprises but fit in perfectly with their not-so-small family.
"Liv, do you regret everything we went through?" Elliot whispered as Maureen squealed loudly when Aiden started to chase her around the living room.
"No, I don't. We learned from all the pain and now are stronger than ever. Just think, this all started when we were faking a marriage... Now we are married and have four kids. We are in the best mental space that we have ever been in and couldn't be happier," Olivia smiled.
Okay, so I finished this and I didn't expect to. I did know that it was getting a little boring so finishing it was a good idea so I didn't start more drama. I hope you all enjoyed this and I'll probably start brainstorming another book soon.
