Pool Accident

Brianna Pov

I was in the kitchen making  lunch when Preston walked in the kitchen embracing Ari on his arms.

"Hi sweetie" I cooed at her making her gurgle and smile. She can't talk yet but I know she trying to. She looked so cute in her yellow sunflower bathing suit with a pair of bows in her hair.

"babe, I'm just going to take Aria for a little swim" Preston explains as he smiles down at his little girl..

"Alright, just make you'll guys be back before lunch and it's ready within an hour" I say with him responding with a nod

Preston carries her out to the pool and setting her down on the lounge chair while taking off his shirt. He carried her over to the stairs and slowly stepped in the pool with aria in hips. I was watching out in the kitchen while cutting up things for lunch. When the water touched Aria her eyes lit up and she smiled and kicking her feet and accidentally splashed Preston. Preston held her tightly holding her up and down in the water while she giggled.

Preston Pov

After staying in the pool for a while. I took her out setting her down on the chair. And  got a towel, dried her off. I picked her up and putting her on my lap while I lounge.

Aria starts to babble and  pointing at her toys that were placed on the ground near the pool.

"You wanna play with them?" I asked her picking her up and placing her on the ground before having a seat next to her.
I picked up a toy and started to move it around. She took it from my hand and started to play with it.

I then got  a phone call and walked over to the chairs.

"Oh hey ma" i say with a smile appearing on my face. "What are you doing?" She asked. "Oh uh just playing with ari " I said looking down at her playing silently. "Uh Hold on your cracking up... the service here is bad let me get in a better spot" I say moving at the other side.

Brianna Pov

I saw Preston moved out of her spot. I watched aria roll her toys babbling at her self. One rolls out and she carefully crawled to it and picking it up with her tiny chubby hand..

I bent down to get our lunch out of the oven but when I looked up I didn't see aria. My heart started to beat fast I tried to calm myself down by I was just being silly Preston probably already took her. I walked closer to get a better look. That's when I heard a splash and saw her in the pool.

Ariane was only a baby but she couldn't swim, My heart beats a million times a minute everything seem to slow down screaming her name I'm shock I opened the door with tears streaming down. I ran into the pool and quickly jumped in. Pulling her head up in the water. Once she had hit the air she started to cry I could see water fall from her mouth she must've swallow some. I set her on the side before pulling my self up. I picked her up held her chest into mine putting her head on my shoulder like I was burping her to get all the water out. I could feel her cough up all the water she swallowed whilst trying to calm her down.

"It's okay sweetie, your okay Aria. Mommy's got you baby" I said soothingly bouncing her up and down to try to stop crying.

Preston came sprinting after he heard crying. It felt like he came back about 3 minutes after everything happened, he started running as he hear me cry and scream.

"What's happening I heard screaming!?" Preston said frantically." Oh my God why are you both crying what happened" He asked not understanding what was currently happening. "Oh no no no" He said while I bounce ari to stop her from crying. "You're wet? Why are you all wet? Why is aria wet I just had dried her off.... oh no no oh my God please don't tell me what I think just happened..."

"A-Aria she fell in the pool" I say

"No No no how could I just leave her there is she okay are you okay baby I'm a horrible dad I'm horrible?! You probably hate me now she probably hate me now." He said

" Preston calm down, don't say that you're a great dad, it's not your fault. We don't hate y-" I started saying but he cut me off.

"Is she okay? Please tell me she's okay."

"We're okay, we're both fine, I promise. Ari just swallowed a bit of water. But it's all fine now I got it all out Right Aria? . I said as I looked down at her. When she heard her name she looked up to us. Her headband was heavy from being soaked and it had dropped down covering her eyes. She squirms and kicking her feet around probably due to the fact she can see anything. Preston and I chuckled and took of her headband and throwing it on the side. Once she could now wee she looked up seeing her daddy she smiles widely.

"Daddy's sorry princess you probably hate me now" He said softly." She doesn't hate you Preston she could never. she loved her daddy very much" I said to prove my point them Ariane started reaching for him. "See she wants daddy" I said smiling passing her off to  him. He held her tightly not wanting to let her off any moment.

"Now c'mon lunch is ready" I said as Preston put his arm around me and we walked inside.
