A love between the employee and the ceo AU

"Miss Brianna, Mr. Arsement wants to see you" the Ceo's secretary steps in my office as she informed  me. "He was waiting for you in your office.

"Okay." I smiled but deep inside I was very anxious. Why would he want to see me.

It strange but I quickly got up and walked out of my office, heading over to his. Preston is the youngest CEO in the country, he known to be one of the intelligent and sharp.

I knocked on the door and waited until he responds. "Come on in"

"Uh, Hi I heard you asked for me."  I politely said but my expression changed to see that look in his face, he always has that same cold expression.

Would it hurt if he smiled just a little?

"Why are you nice to every?" He asks making me freeze.

"Pardon?" I asked unsure if I heard him correctly or not.

"You're always smiling at everyone" I was taken aback by his words, standing there not knowing how to respond.

"Uhh, I'm not sure" I say keeping it professional

"You're trying to please everyone aren't you? I see did you know that it's a weakness that can be exploited, and I dot really want any weakling in my company"

I scoff, Where is this even coming from?

"Mr. Arsement, I assure you that I'm not trying to please everyone, I'm just trying to be friendly and kind to everyone. Isn't it a part being professional?"

Well you clearly don't know this because you're cold to everyone. I said as he was getting on my nerves.

"So why not me ?" He said, I frowned not really getting what he meant.
"You never smiled at me?" He asked

"Is he jealous? Is he actually jealous that I smile at everyone but him?"

"I just.." I gulp. "You're just intimidating."

He raises an eyebrow at my response. "Intimidating?" He repeats.
"How?"He asked as He gazed

I shift back uncomfortably under his gaze, Maybe I shouldn't have been that honest.

"Well you're the Ceo of this company and you always seem very hard to approach so I'm afraid of doing something wrong" I admit.

He looks at me for a moment,  his expression was very different. I could feel my heart race as I wait for about he was to say. He stands up and approached me, making me lower my head down. I can feel his cologne fill my senses up as I tried to keep breathing, but my heart was pounding on my chest.

He stop on his tracks and said

"You don't have to be afraid of me, I'm just like any other man and I do smile, you just have to give me the reason why to." He says. The he... smiled

HE SMILED.....

I never thought that him Preston Arsement was capable of smiling. I doubt anyone in the company had seen him smiling before, but right now he's smiling, in front of me, that I forgot how to breathe.

I nod feeling smiley. His smile is contagious.

Many days had passed since that specific interaction with Preston he had been so kind and charming since.

Suddenly his assistant walked in my office. "Mr. Arsement wants me to give you this" she said as she hands me coffee I took it and saw the note, 'Take it easy'

And it went for days. He would ask his assistant to bring me numerous things like my favorite cake, favorite drink and even my favorite flower, which makes my heart race everytime but the only thing I'm curious about how the hell did he knew all of these things.

"Claire! Hey!" My coworker, the one I'm the closest too, walks in my office. "Are you done with the new portfolio?"She asked.

"Yes I'll send it to you in an hour I'm just doing some finishing touches"
She nods but before I she could speak the door opens and Preston walks in.

I quickly stood up not having any clue what's about to happen,

He look at Claire and said "Get Out!" His voice yelled in a calm manner, but aced with a warning or threat and Claire quickly leaves the scene.

"What Is this for?" I frown "why would you-" He cuts me off
