It was supposed to be Jeonhan's day off. The only time he can rest. But luck wasn't on his side today.
So here he was, sitting in that same old chair. The air around him was unsettling. The memories this room held were no good either.
But Jeonghan was used to it now.
In this exact room, their are hundreds of murder case reports and the stories behind them. Some ruthless and some absolutely disgusting. It was his office room.
His a detective. So he has to prepare himself for the worst types of cases that are coming. Bloody pictures, human heads chopped off, cut-out ribs.
Jeonghan has seen all of it.
As he was shuffling through the papers, waiting for a call. To inform him about the new case he is supposed to look into. He found a photo. A very old one.
What was it? Maybe from 8 years ago.
It was his high-school best friend.
Hong Joshua.
"What is this doing here?" Jeonhan asked himself in a low voice.
He started at the picture. Noticing the bright smile. The smile that shined brighter the sun. The smile that used to give Jeonghan strength.
It was all gone now.
He quickly put the picture inside his bag.
Minutes passed, and 2 police officers finally entered his office.
"Yoon Jeonghan?" One of the men asked.
"Yes sir, and you are Mr. Ho? And Mr. Park?" Jeonghan asked as he stood up to shake hands.
"Yes, so you must know why we are here?" Mr. Park asked. His voice was heavy and rough.
"Well, I know the basics. Someone got murdered and you guys are here for my help to find out the culprit behind it. So let's go over the details, shall we?" Jeonghan spoke.
"First, I would like you to take a look at these pictures and the biography of the victim," Mr. Ho handed him all the pictures and documents.
Jeonghan took his time going through everything.
"So from what's written here, the victims best friend was also on the crime scene. So he knows the culprit, but he is currently in a coma from a critical blow to his head?" Jeonghan looked up, breaking the silence.
"The doctors said they have no hopes for him to wake up. He is barely surviving. And if he does wake up, it's not gonna be anytime soon." Mr. Ho, explain.
"The head concussion can also cause major memory loss. Another concern. So we need you to look into the case for the time being. The sooner it is, the easier we can catch the culprit." Mr. Park added.
"Are their any prime suspects? So far, did you guys have any suspicions towards anyone?" Jeonghan asked.
"Well, yes, we don't have proof but this guy. He was seen the last in the cctv footage before it was shut down. Tho we still have barely any proof." Mr. Ho spoke and handed Jeonghan the picture.
"Soonyoung?" Jeonghan's eyes widen.
"Oh, looks like you know him. This is gonna be easier than I thought." Mr. Park was staring through Jeonghans soul.
"I would like to have a witness testimony with him myself." Jeonghan spoke.
"Well, as you wish." Mr. Park spoke.
"Well, how do you guys happen to know each other?" Mr. Ho
"An old high school friend. Well, used to be a friend, but that doesn't matter right now. " Jeonghan didn't wanna talk about this right now. It was irrelevant.
"Hmm, i see. Well, we will leave you to it then. Good luck." Mr. Ho spoke, and they bid their goodbyes.
So here he was again. Alone in that same old room with more questions filled in his mind. It was time again for the return of The Detective Yoon Jeonghan.

."Hyung, trust me, I didn't do anything. I went their to get my laptop i left behind. " Soonyoung was on the edge of a breakdown.
He didn't expect himself to be a suspect for murder just at the age of 24
"Hey, take a deep breath there. Everything's going to be okay, " the brown haired boy took him in an embrace.
"You are gonna give your testimony today. Just be completely honest. You're innocent. So don't be scared. The truth will come out soon. You will be okay, Hoshi." The brown haired boy was so calm and laid back at the moment. It made Hoshi feel at ease.
"Okay, now can we eat something before I am gone?" Hoshi asked.
"Sure, it's my comfort treat," the boy spoke again.
"Thanks, Shua hyung, horanghae." Hoshi was smiling even at a situation like this???? His one of a kind indeed.
