The drive was silent for the first five minutes, but it was so awkward.

So Joshua decided to break the elephant in the room.

"So... I am sorry for being a total jerk these past few days. I mean, I don't even know your side of the story. So I shouldn't just jump to conclusions."

"It's okay, I don't mind. I kind of deserved it."

(Took them 10 days to finally have this convo wow)

"I mean, you have the right to be mad at me still," Joshua

"I am not mad at you, not at all,"

"Well, I can see that." He chuckles softy.

"So like....what are we- I mean, like friends or strangers type what are we ofcourse- ehmm sorry that sounded weird"

Jeonghan is kind of stupid, I guess?

Joshua let out a laugh

"Friends, we can say,

...
For now, "

The last part was a whisperer.

"Said something?" Jeonghan asked

"Nope."

The rest of the drive was just small talks about how they have been doing, and just catching up to eachother.

Jeonghan noticed how they clicked together almost instantly.

Inside jokes, weird humor, their cheating agenda in games. It was coming back slowly as their conversation progressed.

It took 40 mins to drive to Jeonghans house.

"It's really, really late, and there's a snowstorm. You should...."

Joshua was patiently waiting.

He just wanted to hear the words

"Ya?"

"You can stay over. It's dangerous, and the highways are probably gonna close."

"You sure you're okay with it?"

"Of course I am. Now come let's go in."

Jeonghans house was pretty spacious for one person.

He could live with a family of five their.

"Your house is really nice. It suits you. "

"Haha, thanks. I was kind of inspired by you... Does that even make sense?"

"Me? How come?" Joshua felt flustered

"Well-" suddenly Jeonghan ran out of words

"It's okay. You don't have to tell me." Joshua just smiled at him.

Jeonghan took two cans of beer out.

Handing one to Joshua and keeping one for himself

"Thanks,"

"So, like what job do you do?"

"Me? Well... I am a detective. "

"You're a what- a detective? Oh, that's cool." Joshua's face changed after hearing that

It wasn't the best thing he heard. He was proud of Jeonghan, but...

Anyways

"What about you?"

"Well, I became a real estate agent. It's an easy way to work."

"Oh man, I wish."

(1 hour later)

Jeonghan got really really drunk.

He couldn't even stand up straight.

"You know I fucking hate how much I still love him" Jeonghan blurted out while Joshua carried him to the bed.

"Who? Jeongha-"

"It's so unfair. He doesn't love me back. "

"Wh-"

"I wanna hold his hands, hug him, kiss him, but I can't do any of those. Cause he is not mine."

"Who? Jeongha-" Jeonghan was already a sleep the moment his body hit the soft mattress.

"I guess we will never know."

Though Joshua didn't like that. The thought of Jeonghan loving someone else.

Jeonghan woke up with a headache.

A really bad one.

He was lazily just rolling in bed for another 20 minutes before he finally got up to get fresh.

He went to the kitchen to see a note on the table, with a prepared breakfast.

'I made some soup for you, drink it. You must be hungover right now. Also don't forget to take the medicines. It will help with the headache

Joshua'

Jeonghan felt butterflies.

Nobody made food for him in the past 8 years.

So he felt so happy at that moment.

It felt good to have someone look after you after all these years.
.
.
.
While Jeonaghan was drinking his soup, he realized he had everyone's phone number except Joshua's.

"Should I ask him for it?..."
