Jeonghan had already fallen asleep on the way home, so since Joshua didn't have Jeonghans keys, neither did he want to wake the boy up

He took Jeonghan to his place instead.

It took him at least 2 minutes to just figure out how his gonna take Jeonghan inside.

So he ran to his door, opened it wide, and ran back to get the sleepy head out.

He was afraid of waking up the sleeping beauty, so he tried his best to pick him up as gently as possible.

...

'Oh fuck why do I have stairs in my house. What if I drop him'

He knew he could carry Jeonghan, but he also knew he could easily just let go of him from clumsiness.

Let's not imagine that, tho 😃

When he finally reached the bedroom, he realized...

"You're awake? Asshole"

He playfully threw him on the bed.

Jeonghan couldn't hold in the smile anymore as he opened his eyes.

"You're pretty strong.... oh, and you smell nice too, "

"Creep."

"You could have just woke me up, but you decided to bring me to your house. Who's the creep then?"

"Uh- I was being nice,"

"Ya ya sure - wait, this isn't your apartment,"

"I live in my apartment more occasionally, that's why. It feels lonely to live in a house this big alone, you know, "

"I can relate." Jeonghan gave a look. Josbua couldn't quite read it.

"Wait, how do you know my apartment....I never told you that"

"....Oh right, I wasn't supposed to know that..."

"Jeonghan....are you stalking me?"

"What! No, that's a crime. How could you assume such things? " Jeonghan acted oftended

"Says who? A murder?"

"You shouldn't be talking. You're in front a detective right now. "

"Still doesn't change the fact that -"

"Joshuji, I am hungry," he cut him off

But

That nickname....

The nickname that no one else knows the story behind except Jeonghan and Joshua.

It brought back so many memories.

It made Joshua happy and sad at the same time.

"Joshua?"

"Oh yeah, right, let's go downstairs. I might have something in the fridge. "

Jeonghan nodded, following after him.

He was testing Joshua. He needed to know how much things between them have actually changed and how much is still the same as 8 years ago.

Did it hurt that he didn't even get a smile from Joshua when he said that nickname? Oh, sure, it did.

First time in his whole life.

Jeonghan was used to having all of Joshua's attention whenever he was around.

Now he wants it again, but everything's different now.

Their adults with responsibilities, barely having time to spare. Let alone have romance in their life.

Jeongin was a hopeless romantic all his life.

Will he realize now that waiting around will just be a waste?

(End)
