September 26th

"Jack!! Come and finish your cereal. We have a doctor's appointment in an hour. Come on, hurry up!" I call out.

Carl lifts up Jack and brings him to the kitchen counter. "Eat up, buddy!"

"Mr. Hill and Mrs. Hill, May we have a moment?" I turn around and see two policemen at the main door.

What's the police doing here? And how do they know our names? I suddenly don't feel so good. "How can we help you, officer?" Carl approaches them with a puzzled look. "Do you know Ms. Nancy?" questions one officer.

"Yes, we do, officer. She worked for us a while ago. We had to let her go due to some differences." Carl answers.

"Is possible burglary one of the differences you mentioned?" officer questions.

"Ugh, yes, officer! We had an incident last month. We were a bit hesitant to inform you." Carl answers.

"That's all right, Mr. Hill. Not many people come forward with such incidents. I'm here to inform you that we have caught them. Nancy and her friends. I came here to tell you that you don't have to worry about them anymore." States the officer .

"Oh my God! That's a relief, officer. Thank you so much for informing us." Carl shakes the officer's hand.

"Take care, Mr. and Mrs. Hill." The officers leave. "It's over, Jenny! I could see the worry on your face since that day. You don't have to be scared anymore." Carl assures me.

Finally! Thank God it's over, I think to myself. Even though we sent her away, I always felt uneasy. This calms me down a lot. They finally got what they deserved. We can go back to where we were before she even existed in our lives. What a relief!
