“MUFFLIATO! LEVICORPUS!”
Cho begins to scream as she dangles upside down over the rock she was just sitting on. Knowing the Muffliato charm will muffle her screams, you walk closer to her, wand pointed at her.
"You mustn't tell lies Cho." you say in an icy voice. "Who is out there with you."
"No....no one.." she cries.
"You can make this easy or you can make it hard." you reply as you drop her quickly toward the rock.
"NOOO!" Cho screams.
You stop her an inch above the rock and raise her back up again. "Let’s try this again. Who is out there with you? My guess is Cedric. Is he out here with you?"
"No Harry, I'm alone. You have to believe me." Cho cries.
"I'm sorry Cho. I can't." With a sick feeling in your stomach, you flick your wand, and turn as Cho falls hitting her skull on the rock. Almost instantly a cannon goes off.
You look around wand at the ready, waiting to see if Cedric, who you know must be out there somewhere will appear.
"Harry!" Hermione gasps.
"Bloody hell." Ron exclaims.
You are shaking a bit as they approach. "I had to do it. I knew she was lying to me."
"How?" Ron asks.
Hermione replies automatically as if she was back in a classroom at Hogwarts and not in an Arena full of death. "The sneakoscope. It detects lies and deception. If she had really been all alone, it never would have went off."
Ron looks around quickly, "So, who's out there?"
"My guess is Cedric," you reply. "Who else would she team up with?"
"So, what do we do now?" Hermione asks. "Do we look for him, or pack up the tent and get out of here before he finds us?"
