"Ron! Hermione! Wake up!" you cry out, not caring anymore if you awaken the two Slytherin slugs nearby.

They both jolt awake, as the Muttation of Hedwig begins to swoop overhead. She dive-bombs you, claws ready for the attack.

"Bloody hell!" Ron exclaims.

"STUPEFY!" Hermione calls shooting a spell up at the creature. The Muttation flips her wing, easily deflecting the spell. It bounces off, and rebounds back toward the nest, missing you by inches.

"PETRIFICUS TOTALUS!" Ron cries, but once again, the creature easily deflects it. "It's wings must have some kind of magical shield!"

The creature dives down again and again, close, but not making contact. Circling lower and lower each time, like it's playing with its food. There has to be away to get beyond it's wings, to out think it in some way before it can defend itself. You try several more spells all with the same result, how are you going to defeat it without magic?

"We've got to move." Hermione decides.

"But what about the buffoons?" Ron replies. "We'll be handing ourselves over to them."

"We'll have to take our chances. At least with them we stand a fighting chance." you reply.

The bird dives down yet again, this time making contact with Ron's arm, leaving a deep gash and then swooping upwards.

"Go!" you cry.

You begin to scramble down the tree as quickly as you can, the branches offering some protection as you descend. You don't see any sign of Crabbe or Goyle on the ground, could they actually still be sleeping?

Reaching the ground, you begin to run, not worrying about defending yourself against anything except the Muttation that seems determined to take you out. The bird follows you diving, and making contact three or four more times. Each of you has severe cuts that are bleeding profusely, and the bird doesn't seem to want to give up on its prey.

Magic won't work, you think...what else is there. Suddenly it pops into your head.

"Hermione we need to get into your bag." you yell.

"Harry, it's not safe to use the dittany here we’ve got--Oh wait!" she replies, understanding.

Hermione stops short, ducking and nearly missing being nailed by yet another pass. Pointing her wand at the bag she calls out "Accio knife!"

Catching the jackknife in her hands, she tosses it to you as the bird swoops down and knocks her to the ground, unconscious. Another dive and Ron is flattened. You pop the button, releasing the blade, ready to attack, when the Muttation strikes you in the back, knocking you to the ground as well.

Suddenly the world go fuzzy, you begin to hear Voldemort laughing. Is he here? Has he come to see your final demise in person? You are falling further and further into the dream-like state. Knowing at any minute the Hedwig Muttation will sink it's fangs into you, ending your role in these Games permanently. You know you should fight. You practiced Occlumency with Sirius during training, so you could try to block it, but the pull of the dream is so strong. You are no longer in the forest; you are in a room with magical monitors covering the walls. You begin to speak but the voice is not your own...

"The end of Potter is near. Make sure plans for..."

You are suddenly aware you are back in the woods again, you can hear the Muttation circling, and know it can't be far from its kill move. But what if there's time to find out what's planned next? That kind of information would give you an incredible advantage.

Should you: A.) Give into the dream or B.) Practice Occlumency
