The others agree, but with a sadness. Once Malfoy's gone, how will you turn on one another? How will this all end?
You insist on taking the first watch. Your mind is still racing from the events of the day, and you are fairly certain you wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. Hermione, Ron, and Ginny all lay down, and with the sneakoscope helping guard, all remains quiet.
After a short time, Ginny appears next to you.
"Harry, what are we going to do?" she asks. "I can't kill you, or Hermione, or Ron. I just can't do it."
'When the time comes, I expect we'll all be surprised by what we are capable of," you answer.
She nods, wearily. "I just have a feeling, this is going to end for me soon. And I wanted you to know something."
"Ginny..." you begin.
"No Harry, let me finish. I love you. I've always loved you. But I just need to know, before I go, do you, could you, feel the same?"
Of course I do, you think. I've loved you for so long. You are ready to lean in, to kiss her, to have this one moment of pure pleasure before the end game begins.
