The irony is in the name

It had been three days since Abby had last emailed me. Her plane was due to arrive in an hour...

Don't get me wrong I'm am super excited to see her, it's been almost a year since I last saw her and for me and Abby that's way to long.

I probably would be more excited except I can't shake the feeling that there is more to her visit than meets the eye.

I guess I should explain who "he" is and who "the council" are.

About 6 or 7 years ago I was in LA and I had a boyfriend and he was perfect, I loved him and he loved me.

Etcetera, etcetera.

But I had secrets and at first it was easy to keep them from him but he started to notice a sort of change in me.

When he started asking questions it became dangerous for him so I left him, for his own safety.

I joined a group called legue in mortis which means the league of death in Latin. we were said to be assassins sent down by the devil himself to kill anyone who we were commanded to.

I joined because there leader Diego Abotoris made me feel wanted like if I joined I was part of a family, a family that I have wanted for so long.

We were trained to kill any danger and to save any innocent person.

But what I didn't know is once you join you can never leave, if you even try to leave, you were punished by death.

Diego is a monster he controls you, he threatens you, makes you kill people.

He owns you.

The council are the law makers, there the ones that makes sure no one ever finds out about us, they give us names to protect our true identities, there the ones who makes sure no assassin who is part of the legue in mortis ever looses control.

My name is The Ghost. They call me that as I am know as the best assassin the league have ever trained. I murder someone leaving no evidence behind, no weapon, no note and once the job is done I disappear like smoke.

(which is kinda ironic considering my last name is Smoak).
