As the delegates prepared to board the ship, Safer gathered them together to assign their designated posts and rotation schedule. Amelia was surprised to hear that she had been chosen for navigation duty, starting at 7 PM and lasting until 4 AM. She would be working alongside Lexie Starkov, Danil Oretsev, and a student named Poliakoff.
"You have your schedules, look alive now!" Safer hollered. The delegates immediately stationed at their posts and ready to set sail.
The air was thick with excitement and anticipation as the delegates of Durmstrang gathered at the dock, ready to set sail on their journey. The sound of waves crashing against the shore mixed with the chatter of students discussing their assignments and eagerly making plans for the trip.
The ship was tall and imposing, with sturdy masts and billowing sails. The delegates scurried around, loading supplies and checking equipment, making sure everything was in order for the journey ahead.
The air was filled with the smell of saltwater and the tang of magic as delegates cast spells to secure their cargo and ensure their safety on the open sea. The crew bustled around, checking ropes and adjusting sails, ready to guide their ship through whatever lay ahead.
As the final preparations were made, the delegates gathered on deck, their faces alight with excitement and anticipation. And then, with a mighty heave, the ship was set free, gliding out to sea with the Durmstrang delegates on board, ready for whatever adventures lay ahead.
The interior of The Leviathan II was surprisingly cozy, with warm wooden panels and flickering torches casting a soft glow on the walls. The common room was the heart of the ship, featuring plush sofas and armchairs arranged around a massive fireplace, which crackled and roared with orange flames. The room was decorated with animal skins and mounted heads of various creatures, including a giant boar and a grizzly bear.
The dining hall was surprisingly spacious, with long wooden tables and benches filling the room. The walls were adorned with ornate tapestries depicting battles and heroic deeds of famous Durmstrang alumni. The kitchen was well-equipped, with a large stove, oven, and plenty of counters for meal preparation.
The classrooms were located on the lower levels of the ship and were accessible through a winding staircase. The rooms were spacious and had sturdy desks and chairs for the students to sit on. There were also large portholes that provided ample natural light and a view of the sea. The classrooms were well-equipped with teaching tools, including a blackboard and chalk, quills and ink, and a small library of textbooks and reference materials. The professors had their own desks at the front of the room, and each classroom had a podium for lectures and presentations. The rooms were also enchanted to prevent sea-sickness during rough weather, making it easier for students to focus on their studies.
Towards the back of the ship, there was a long hallway that led to the cabins. Each delegate had their own room, with a comfortable bed and a small desk for studying or writing.
As the bell echoed through the whole ship, the students quickly made their way to their designated areas. The sound of rushing water could be heard as the ship began to submerge, causing some of the students to grip onto nearby railings for stability.
Despite the sudden movement, the interior of the ship remained relatively stable. The classrooms and common areas were designed with the intention of being used both above and below water, and the Durmstrang engineers had ensured that the ship's submergence would not impact the students' learning or living quarters.
