Seeing them seated by the House of Slytherin reminded Amelia of Durmstrang, where the different Houses were not just places to live but a family to belong to. She settled down next to Lexie, who shared the same sentiment. Across from them sat Danil and Viktor, who were engaged in a conversation about the latest Quidditch match.

Amelia's eyes briefly met Viktor's, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter in her stomach. Though they were just friends for now, there was something about Viktor's rugged charm that always left her wanting more. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts, and turned her attention back to the conversation at hand.

Just as the conversation at the Slytherin table began to lull, a familiar blond boy made his way over to the Durmstrang delegation, clearly eager to make friends with Viktor. Amelia recognized him, a boy who had annoyed her during their previous encounter. She tensed up slightly at the sight of him, wondering if he would try to approach her as well.

Draco Malfoy leaned in towards Viktor with a sly grin and sat beside him. "The name's Draco Malfoy," he said, extending his hand in greeting. "I couldn't help but notice the impressive display from Durmstrang today. But of course, we're not strangers, are we Krum?"

Viktor looked up in surprise, wondering how he could have forgotten meeting someone as memorable as Malfoy. But then he remembered: it was at the Quidditch finals, and Malfoy was one of the loudest voices cheering for him.

Draco's sly grin widened as he read the confusion on Viktor's face. "I was a fan of yours back then, and I still am," he said, not bothering to hide the admiration in his voice. "I may not show it as much as the others, but I know talent when I see it."

Viktor couldn't help but feel a little flattered. He simply nodded politely and said, "Thank you, Malfoy."

"Amelia Hedström," Draco drawled, his signature smirk playing on his lips. "Well, well, well, if it isn't the talented young witch from Durmstrang."

Amelia raised an eyebrow, slightly taken aback by Draco's unexpected praise. She knew all too well the reputation of the Malfoy family and their disdain for anyone outside of their circle. But there was something in the way Draco spoke that made her wonder if he was being genuine or if there was an ulterior motive behind his words. She felt a sense of discomfort as she watched Draco trying to assert his superiority, making snide comments about the other houses and showing off his knowledge of Quidditch to impress Viktor. She could see that Draco was fangirling over his idol, but Amelia couldn't help feeling annoyed at his arrogance. She tried to focus on her food, hoping that Draco would leave them alone, but it seemed like he had other plans.

Viktor observed the exchange between Draco and Amelia with a hint of jealousy. He had noticed how Amelia had reacted to Draco's presence, and he couldn't help but feel like he was in some sort of competition for her attention. He wondered if Amelia was interested in Draco, Viktor tried to shake off his feelings of jealousy, reminding himself that he had no claim over Amelia and that she was free to interact with whomever she pleased. However, he couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy about the situation.

Lexie noticed Amelia's discomfort and spoke to her in Russian, "Он тебя беспокоит?" meaning "Is he bothering you?"

Amelia nodded and replied in the same language, "Немного," which meant "A bit."

As they watched Draco writhing in excitement at the sight of Viktor Krum, Lexie and Amelia exchanged amused glances. "He's like a fangirl," Lexie whispered in Russian to Amelia, who stifled a giggle. "I know, right?" Amelia replied in Russian, pretending to examine her nails. "I don't think he'll make it through the year if he's already going crazy after just one glance at Krum." They both burst out laughing, but made sure to keep their conversation in Russian so that Draco wouldn't understand.
